This... This was hard to watch. Personally, I don't like the whole mixing with the songs they used. There are mariachi singers that sing in English. Yet, they've preserved the "traditional" tune, sounds, and rhythm. The only difference is that their lyrics are in English. The "new generation" as these guys put it, already listen to that.

Lets face it, there are not very many cultures from 500 years ago that are here today. It's called evolution. Although this wasn't the typical and traditional style of mariachi, they still played and put their love and emotion into the music. Look how he teared up at the end. He's closer to a dream and he's doing what he loves AND he is entertaining the people. That was ashamed for the Mexican Culture man, that is not mariachi music for instance a real mariachi song is "el pastor" you can listen it and enjoy our music.

I am Mexican I love Mariachi music a lot, however I really like what they did... we need to have courage to do big changes, believe in ourselves and not to be afraid to fail... I think they did good and I am pride that some "paisanos" have the courage and strength to do it, we need to be open to accept changes... they are not asking you to like it, they just are showing that talent is everywhere and they have it!

Hace poco vi el vídeo de "Britain's Go Talent" salió una chica llamada Lettice Rowbotham, ella toca el violín de una manera tan hermosa, pero toca música electrónica. La gente dice que está mal porque el violín es para música clásica. El instrumento es para hacer música, de cualquier tipo, éste también puede evolucionar. To say Mariachi isn't National is a grave understatement especially all the Mariachi Conferences going on in the US. El Mariachi es una tradición de México pero ya desde hace tiempo el Mariachi a evolucionado y aqui en México no es novedad ni mucho menos sorpresa que realicen covers o mezclas de musica contemporanea...a final de cuentas el Mariachi es para alegrar y hechar el relajo es, algo que caracteriza al Mariachi, tal es el caso de esta agrupación y pues instrumentalmente estan dentro del margen del Mariachi asi que no veo ofensa alguna...pues en ningun momento se estan mofando o faltandole al respeto a nadie e incluso hay Mariachis en la actualidad que cuentan con discografias de covers uno de ellos Mariachi Rock-o...asi que mis amigos tranquilos no pasa nada saludos!

The show is about uniqueness, Mariachi in Mexico is really important, but that doesnt mean we dont like new things darling, i live in Mexico, im Mexican of course, we like to accept new things, besides, the name of the band is "New Style", and it is pretty original, so... Yeah, just saying my opinion:)
