Set in the 1980s in New York City, Pose is a dance musical that explores the juxtaposition of different segments of society in New York, including the ball culture world. The series stars Evan Peters, Kate Mara, James Van Der Beek, Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, Billy Porter, Indya Moore, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Charlayne Woodard, Dyllón Burnside, Hailie Sahar, Angelica Ross and Angel Bismark Curiel.

OMG, so in love with this show. As a trans woman, this is the first show that I've felt actually represents girls like me.

This series is the best thing on mainstream ever!! It took 2018 for it to happen. Paris is burning is for people in the life to understand and that to me was epic !! I’m a lesbian in VA. Watching pose on tv is a big cheesy smile on my face. It’s letting the rest of the world know that this didn’t just happen. This has been around for decades. I Stan for all my LGBTQ community. I love this show and I like what MJ said (‘no shade .. you know I love you’ most cis women don’t have opportunities to dress in these amazing glam styles that are shown in Pose at the balls ... I have a few glam pieces in my attic I just might take them out dress myself up for the next episode of Pose just to feel all pretty and ‘fierce’ 😊 thank you ladies of Pose for reminding us all about glamour ...

I am sure everyone already said this but POSE brought all kinds of emotions of every kind. I hope them make another 8+100 more episodes. The finally was awesome and sad. Fashion can be a way to present your gender, or your masculinity/femininity, or to play with or subvert either. Anyone can wear any clothes they like and clothes don't have a gender, but it is a very important way to express yourself for many people.

Ya'll are only talking about how fashion affects women and trans people, but uuuuh Pray Tell was whipping up the girls dresses all throughout the season, but nobody showed no love for the men who love fashion tho 🤔 ijs lol
jeweliett rosae The writers will probably be more inclusive with season 2 towards that. The team behind the show seems so sweet I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it wasn’t a intentional thing lol.
