I found the waterpumP needed a desperate recovery. It's super rusty at the bottom and very dirty but it's still working.
So, I started with disassembling, what turned out to be very complicated. Like new creations and buildings and can also be restored.

Some have commented on the lack of the right tools.....In my opinion it is not the tools that make the restoration...It is the use of the tools available that makes the worker A GREAT RESTORER. !! Great Job :)

"A GREAT RESTORER" uses the correct tools. A few basic tools are all that is required to do it properly.
I do not agree with you, there have been many failures in this restoration. If this pump were tested with water, water may leak through the mechanical seal. Bad work done.

i've always been a huge fan of water pumps, so that's a really satisfing video in my opinion.
After restoration and running the pump dry well.. good luck to the newly installed shaft seal
made that mistake once. cracked the Teflon like a moron. Good job though. If you had used a puller the vid would only be 8 minutes long in real time.

Sandblasting and powdercoating is the way to go. Nice restoration project I would do parts slightly different.

This guy is a genius. Not only not afraid of hard work, but recognising potential in what millions have given up on and bought new. If you are going to continue refurbishing things, you may want to invest in to a media blaster. It would make doing this type project so much nicer. JMHO

Top restorer I believe it’s what tools you have and how you use them not having the wrong tools lol great restoration I love it when things are brought back to life instead of thrown in the bin in the throw away society we live in today where you just buy a new one lol take it apart see how it works and repair it thanks for the videos I’m now a new subscriber god bless
I so agree. Got a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and 1979 Ford e150 van with issues and people have said to just sell themselves and get a newer used vehicle. I told them I'd rather take the money I'd have to spend on another used vehicle, that could die days after it left the lot (non lemon laws here), and rebuild their engines, repair their bodies and have vehicles I know I can trust. Specially the van, it could outlast me.

The water outlet originally was on the top. After reassembly, it was to the side. You have turned pumping section of 90 degrees.
