Thank you for getting a rescue dog, Because of our age we had decided not to get another pet, but one fell into our lap, she is 6 years old, underneath all that dirt and matted coat , there was a mini golden doodle, 25 pounds. This dog was a Mama dog in a Puppy Mill. She did not seem to know anything about the world, cage and breeding was her life, she was afraid of everything , the outdoors, rain, any noise the list is endless. Our older mixed breed rescue has been her biggest help, showing her how to be a dog literally, She breaks my heart, but it is very rewarding to watch her get better in baby steps. I am waiting for the day where I might get to pet her, at least she is not shaking any more when I talk to her, clearly a woman abused her, she has taken to my husband which is our saving grace. Please, do not ever buy a dog, there are rescues for pretty much every breed.
I have a 7 month MGD named Tucker. He’s got so much energy still Loves chewing on bones running in yard and fusing after big sister Newfoundland His fur has lightened up so much soon as he hit 6 months old and had his first grooming
Congratulations on your first dog!! Theyre the best thing in the world. Milo is a lucky puppy, he looks so happy and you can tell how happy he makes his family. Theyre so much work but its insanely worth it.

If my family has a bag of dog food, our dog, Archie will guard it to the point of sometimes becoming aggressive to us. I wondered if you have had any experiences like that.

When you get a puppy they follow you naturally, it s natural behavior, you just have to never leash him at the beginning, and the dog will just naturally stay with you all the time. That s the easy way to do it, when you don't do it it s much more difficult to train the dog as an adult , to stay

Me and my fiancee just got our 12-week old mini goldendoodle this past week. We love him and he is a good boy except for the fact that he bites alot when he plays and it can be painful. Do you have any tips on dealing with this or will this stop once he stops teething? Thank you!
The teething stages are very hard but it definitely passes! We had tons of chew toys and frozen towels/froze carrots for him to guide him away whenever he tries to bite us. We also make it very dramatic when he does, like screaming "OW!" to let him know he shouldn't be biting us.

We have not had any humping issues at all even before neutering him.
