Should it be that moisture deposits, not sublimates onto minuscule particles when forming high altitude clouds at 13:45? Deposition is a transition from gas state to solid, and sublimation is the opposite.
There are errors in this video that need to be corrected. At 3:44, the voice-over states correctly that as air pressure decreases, DA increases. At the same moment, the visual onscreen states (Altitude decreases --> Air becomes more dense (Higher Density Altitude.). Though this visual is correct in stating that the air becomes more dense as the true altitude decreases, it is incorrect to state that this corresponds to a higher density altitude. The density altitude is lower as the the air density increases, and the real altitude decreases. The important fact to understand here is that the air is less dense, and the air pressure decreases at higher altitudes.
Should correct the density altitude statement...it is wrong... FAA states : as air density decreases (higher density altitude), aircraft performance decreases. A decrease in air density means a high density altitude; an increase in air density means a lower density altitude. Density altitude is used in calculating aircraft performance. Please correct , you’ll confuse a lot of student pilots.
