Ah, the life of an introvert who is also a celebrity . I feel you Gong Yoo, from one introvert to another, and I’m not a celebrity. It can be excruciatingly painful sometimes and you need to step back and be true to yourself in order to move forward . I Love your honesty.
Dong Wook, if this was your dream talk show and chose Gong Yoo to be your first guest, to segue to this coffee segment by the sea away from the studio lights to tackle this content about what movies make out of real people---real actors.....WOW! Dong Wook, you nailed it. Did you have a writer write these lines? I thought it was pretty straightforward, subtly intense but incredibly sincere. For me, the manner how you empathized with Gong Yoo, brought forward your own life learnings and conversing about a very serious situation as Mental Health is usually something only an OPRAH can do. But here you are, winging it and just carrying out this segment of the talk show in the most humanely possible experience and yet utterly professional manner as no one would have ever done. Your understanding of the human condition seen through your eyes and how you had suavely allowed Gong Yoo to feel comfortable with his feelings was supremely well-executed! Need I say more? Once again, I am not a fan, but rather more of a critic. The entire plan of the production, the varied segments, the unique approach, the floor lay-out in the studio, the directing.... including the comedian Jang Doyeon who was amazingly hilarious in a refreshing way----ALL puts BECAUSE I WANT TO TALK a class apart the rest of the korean variety shows I have ever been watching. This one leads the pack, hands down. Congratulations!
For an introvert, that kind of sudden, intense spotlight of attention coming at you from everywhere...can be truly overwhelming and daunting. I guess he needed some time to rest, recover and recharge his social battery! It's too bad it held him back from choosing work on dramas/films for a while. (Though he still did his brand anbassador work.) Many of us have really missed him! 💙
It's interesting how much he's grown over the years, his demeanor when he was in his 20s/early 30s was different -- he used to be pretty bold, extroverted and lively. He has really mellowed out over the years. I'm not complaining :))
Most actors are introverts. Gong Yoo, you are an extreme introvert. I've always known it and therefore thank you for your hard work which makes us smile. I am an introvert and spent much of my career as a leadership trainer in corporations. I also taught at a San Francisco university. Being "on" in front of people tires me out. I go into myself when I finish a big project or course. Nobody understands because I play an extrovert so well! Again, thank you both for your wonderful work. I look forward to seeing more of you in the near future. 😊
They literally have the greatest chemistry and exude such adorable warmth, it makes my heart go 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Idk about anyone else, I’m rooting for them both to end up together haha ❤️

I’m much like him would rather hide so I get it. I’m not a big celebrity and don’t have fans but life can get a bit demanding for me so I get it. Being single can be a burden sometimes not be able to share. Then again I might hide from that person too haha!

Altho they might be restrained in some ways I am so glad they are talking important stuff about actors that we as fans fail to realise quite often.
