1988(36) Year's Ago Will Always Be My Number 1 Obsessed Year Cause This Movie Along With Action Jackson & Red Heat + My Late Great Grandma Passed Away In 1988 Fly High Miss Lady 🥰😍🤩😘
I'm not a nostalgic person, but as soon as I herd this song it took me immediately back to sitting in the front room on the floor in front of the TV in the home where I grew up. As a child Use to put this on every weekend on VHS 📼..... We can't have those days back...
Sorry I have to top that…imagine being a kid and being in the movie theaters when this came out. The visuals and this song was spell pounding to a 10 year old inner city kid
This song is so awesome. It makes me so calm. I feel so relaxed and free of any bad thoughts. I just love this song and the guys who are singing it. Thank you guys for this lovely song..
THANKYOU FOR MAKING THIS A LOOP!!!! I HAVE BEEN SO WAITING FOR THIS. THE ORIGINAL 2 MIN WAS NO WHERE NEAR LONG ENOUGH!!! NOW THIS IS DEFINITELY GOIN TO BE MY ENTRANCE MUSIC AT MY WEDDING!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I RUN ON THIS MUSIC AND WILL MAKE IT MY ALARM CLOCK SOUND.
Me(Aged 7, forced to watch this movie by my father.): Boring. Me(Remembering the movie and watching it again, aged 29.): Let's search youtube for "Coming to america intro".
We look at things as a child but when we get a chance to revisit them we end up getting another feeling about it the same thing happened with the music my mother listened to I might have hated it as a child I actually love it now .
Love whoever posted this😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😍😍😍😍😍😍. People don't understand this is my morning jam and start up music while I am anxiously preparing for the sequel this Friday 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
The version on Spotify is great but not identical. This one is slightly faster and higher pitched, perfect for getting up to face the day, while the other is better for going to sleep. Thank you for posting.
I bought two versions on Apple Music & it's also different from this version. The Coming to America version is the BEST version. Unfortunately, not available anywhere. 😪
Great music, yeah!! But don't forget that the original composer was SOLOMON LINDA, a South-African man who was unfairly treated by the musical industry. All my respects for him. Long live the legacy of Mr. Linda!!
This song is the literal polar opposite of a call to violence. You just can't be mad when it's on. Next time there's a riot the cops should just blast this song and watch how fast everyone forgets what they were throwing a hissy fit for.
When my baby ia fussy i play this and sing along and she goes right to sleep. I also play circle of life too and she loves them and she only 3months olds
For Over 2 Years. I Been Thinking About Being My Come back Intro. Too My Channel. This Whole Song Represents Us True Kings and Queens. You Done Know. King Saint Thomas
Just listening to this makes me feel even more disappointed in the second movie SMH it’s like I appreciate them bringing back great memories of the cast, jokes and all but it should’ve stayed in 1988... Shxt man they also should’ve called it “Coming To Africa” because there was hardly time they spent in Queens 🤷🏽♂️
It was horrible. Such a disappointment and insult to the original which was one of the greatest movies of all time. Go back and watch the first one again then you’ll really see how poorly made the sequel was.
If they would have left out the general Izzy character and all that came with him...like the part when his daughter came out and a lame musical started, it would’ve been fine. I liked the illegitimate son in NY part of it and trying to arrange his marriage in Zamunda. The second half storyline should’ve just been Lavelle going back to Queens to get his wife from there. Like father like son type of thing. First Akeem being like Jaffe insisting on the arranged marriage in Zamunda then Lavelle like Akeem going after true love in NY.
Gonna have to disagree, the second one wasn't going to top the first. Coming to America is a classic and has Eddie Murphy in his prime. The second one wasn't bad for what it was and was never going to top the first
This song can stop wars on Earth
I'm steeling your comment
Prevent them on Mars....
I will play this song for world peace.
This is pure connection to everyone and everything

I'm sure Solomon Linda is looking down from the clouds of heaven smiling at Ladysmith for doing justice to his beautiful song!
Fühle mich nach Afrika zurück versetzt. War von 1980 bis 1983 in Nigeria, auch im "Busch". Grandios, ich wünsche mir eine Endlosschleife.
I LOVE this song! It's the BEST song EVER to relax to & de-stress from all the cares of the world. 🙏
I LOVE THIS SONG SO SO MUCH

Idk why I can play this 1000 of times it's so peaceful 🙏✌️💛
I believe it is due to the symmetrical Rhythm and close harmony in the singers voices quiet soothing like a baby listening to his mother's heartbeat
This Song it is very beautyful Long live to the african people!
This song is harmony to the earth.

Is this anybody else's favorite Eddie Murphy movie or am I alone on this one? Personally its been my favorite for over 30 years
Agreed! An absolute favorite. I have dreams about it. LOL 💭
Toss up between this and the original Beverly Hills Cop
My top 2 Eddie Murphy movies are" Coming To America" and "Trading Places"... but thats just me.
Actually, "Beverley Hills Cop 2", is my all time fav, he perfected the role of axel Foley! but I'm still riding with you on Coming to America, B...
@@rogerlewis7894This is a spin-off of Trading Places

@DHARMA FACTION I always loved this song I'm glad it was actually performed by real African musicians.

Big letdown when the opening credits came on with some other music. 😞
It was the same music they just remastered and altered the composition. I didn't like it either 😒

You can hear a tiny bit of it in the opening song in the new movie but its kinda buried in the background of the music
