  • The Toyota Celica was one of Toyota's most controversial vehicles and was produced from 1970-2006. In this video I reviewed the 2002 GT-S T230 and went over many of its unique features.

    I love my Celica because it's the nostalgia feeling. When I drive mine on the road it still a head turner.

    I've been driving my Celica TS (2001 Europe model, 192hp 8200redline) as a daily driver, and honestly, it made me enjoy going to work because of the driving experience it gives. It is not too complicated to work on, and seems pretty reliable too. It is my second car, and I am happy i chose this particular model!

    Love the styling, it's timeless. Go-kart steering, gas mileage, and easy to work on. Got mine 5 years ago when it had 59k, still have it, she just past 91k.

      How long have you been using the celica? Any major problems other than wear and tear parts? I'm looking for one now

      @@98kiowa for 11 years, no major problems, just maintenance, and a new clutch at 220K miles. And both CV axles. Torn rubber boots.

    This engine is very reliable. For those with break engine the cause is oem oil pan if race the car and pass 1.1g lateral pressure die from oil starvation and need baffled aftermarket oil pan for sure👍
    With good maintenance can pass easily the 200.000 miles i know examples with over 300.000 like new without repairs and issues.
    Also the internals is very robust can hold about 400hp with stock internals! But is little risky! With lower compression the 400bhp is safe.

      Don’t people usually use the 1ZZ oil pan for the 2zz?

    • @DimoS...
      @DimoS... 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @bdougy yes mate, but is also risky again for race use

      @@DimoS... ohh got you, what after market oil pan would you recommend for the 2zz?

    • @DimoS...
      @DimoS... 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @bdougy moroso is good choice with bigger oil capacity but its very expensive, in mwr sale baffled 2zz pan in very good price👍 but if you don't race hard the car on track days you will be fine with 1zz pan.
      Also oil and gearbox fluids is very important, I use 0w40 mobil1 on engine and redline mt90 gl4 75w90 on gearbox

    The Supra looks gorgeous and respectable as a “nice” car for a wealthy person but I’ve never been attracted to the look of it as much as I’m attracted to the futuristic look of this Celica. It’s a poor man’s FWD Lamborghini Gallardo/Audi R8 (pretty much the same car mechanically).

    I have owned my 2000 Celica ZR (sunroof , nice trim & seats etc.) Australian model 2zz, 6 SPD manual, reliable, very fuel efficient, looks good & goes fast enough (204km/HR at 7,700rpm in FIFTH GEAR - one gear to go. Mine spins to 8,500rpm, FUN TO DRIVE. Love to buy another one !

    Dash board and the lip. in the bonnet . I've got 1999 gen 7 and it's fast.! GOOD advice. NOW from you've said I'm ordering a MANUEL!

    Damn I wish I had that six speed, the rev placement after lift is IDEAL. You have to wait a while on the auto in M mode after 1st to 2nd and by 2nd lift you are already 85MPH...
    Love my 01' though, even though the lift bolts were broken and I had to delete the sunroof because it leaked lol.
