I love how you find this easier than the original and everyone else complains that this is harder.
If you've played the classics these would either be easier or just the same in difficulty.
Exactly. The difficulty will adjust to veterans as soon as they adjust themselves to the controls. It's definitely true that this game feels slightly different, but it's not hard at all to get used to it.
I agree with him the original crash bandicoot is harder.n sane trilogy is easy I've played both n sane trilogy took me less than a week to get 100% the original years to get 100% I've only completed original crash bandicoot on 100% 3× took me years to do that in the n sane trilogy 4× on 100% not even a month to do that so to me original crash bandicoot is harder.
Actually, its harder the first time, i ran way slower, i mean, the third level was hard, harder than the first crash (1996,and i played it on ps2)

I played it through yesterday on my old PS2 for the first time!:D It was kind of awasome,but it has HUGE problems too :) I think the checkpoint System is so bad in it,and it have some big unfair parts too. :) But over all it was nice,the story was pretty fun. :) I want that remake too! :) (Sorry for my bad english- A hungarian guy :D )
Add to that Vicarious Visions had to make the whole 3 games WITHOUT source code.
These are made from scratch.
And leaving them at 40$ for 3 games total which a LOT of content. That, to me, is a steal of a price, one which kinda undersells how much VV did in effort. It should've been easily 60$, but they opted for 40 which I find VERY nice.

Just dropped on PC and am loving the trilogy just as much as the original releases when I was younger. Spyro was another major player of my childhood along with Jak and Daxter, just waiting for the Spyro PC announcement. I do like that Activision is letting everyone get to experience these classics regardless of what platform they prefer.

Dr Cortex's glasses henchmen in Crash 3 are actually robots dressed up and sent in time portals. You can see that from underneath the time twister area. That egyptian guy on the lever has no family :p

I just realized something.
Both Crash and Spyro kinda went through the same weird evolution of their games:
1. The awesome original trilogy.
2. The shitty first Ps2 game.
3. The next game immediately after that actually being pretty good.
4. Some pretty forgettable GBA games.
5. Some pretty odd and divisive reboot choices.
And 6. Both franchises being seemingly killed by Skylanders.
I sincerely hope Spyro gets similar treatment like the N. Sane Trilogy.

@@HarlesBently yeah but unlike skylanders insomniac is involved in the development process to stay as true to the original as possible and what I've seen of the game they also didn't fuck up everyone's character models like they did with skylanders so it seems that despite toys for bob remaking the trilogy insomniac isn't letting them fuck up the source material and they look like they will be great true remasters of the games

They hold up surprisingly well, at least in the remastered format. I barely played them as a kid (Was mostly PC gaming during that generation of consoles, so only occasionally played them at friends houses - CTR at one, and Warped at another) and am loving these, so don't let not having nostalgia for the originals put you off.
The N Sane trilogy is the way to go in regards to playing these games in their best form.

There will be a remastered version of the original Spyro trilogy that will be released on Spyro's 20th anniversary this year! It will be called 'Spyro: Reignited Trilogy' and it will be released on PS4 and Xbox One on Friday 21st September! There will probably other platform releases next year, just like how Crash is going to be on different platforms in June/July this year!

Papu Papu had five hit points in the Japanese version. As for Ripper Roos laugh the reason it didn't return is because it was originally from Lady And The Tramp and thus Disney owns it.
I'm pretty sure it's just because it's a stock laugh sound effect, and they wanted to get new _real_ voice acting for the remake.
I don't think Disney owns it.
Still that Ripper Roo's laugh was totally awful, they should make a laugh more similar.

Its raining outside as I walk to gamestop. Its open, bright lights shine throughout the store. I look through the window and see the smiles of the customers and how they circle around the Crash remake. I smile. I then see the PS4 and sigh. I pull out my wallet and find no cash. I spent it all on steam giveaways. I stare as I come to the realization that I'll never get to play this game. I shed a tear and walk home.
I wanted to buy a 3DS last year just so I could buy Pokemon Sun when it came out. I suck at saving my cash, yet I managed to still have $45 in my wallet. Then I blew the cash on Xbox 360 games at Gamestop.

this is totally gonna sound like bragging but having never played the original crash i somehow ended up getting the colored gem on slippery climb first try. maybe because this version is a lot easier than the original game but still i felt pretty good about myself beating an infamous level like that without dying once

You're either a liar or a god. As someone who has struggled to get the gem is Slippery Climb since I was 5 years old, (the remake hasn't made it any easier for me) I'm leaning toward god.
It says something about that Jetski when you, Johnny, and Caddicarus all have different opinions on what works, what doesn't, even favourites (with Crash Warped being your least favourite and being Caddi's most favourite)...
And yet ALL THREE of you go, "The heck they do to my jetskis? Why did they change those?"
You mentioned Polar feeling off. I think that’s because in the original Crash 2 they only rendered areas that were in sight/directly coming up but the remake renders the entire level at all times which completely throws off the timing of certain moving obstacles whose patterns relied on them only spawning in just before they come into view rather then being active for the entire level just waiting for you.

Reason why Ripper Roo's original laugh is replaced by a new original voice is because the old laugh was an archive sound from Disney's _Lady and The Tramp,_ so due to copyrights they couldn't use it.
