- Aufnahmen des Audi Sport quattro S1 (530 PS) und seinem Vorgänger dem Audi Sport quattro (450 PS). Der Audi Sport quattro S1 fuhr 1985 bei seiner ersten Rallye sofort den Sieg ein. Audi S1, ein Gruppe B - Monster...eines der wohl schönsten, spektakulärsten und besten Rallyeautos was es jemals gab. Zur Erinnerung an diese Legende und für alle Fans dieses Autos - mein Video. (Alles Aufnahmen von der Eifel Rallye - Slowly Sideways - der Jahre 2006 bis 2010)

Sound freakin awesome!!! God I miss these in rallying..! The S1 might not be the best Group B car, but in every other way (sound, looks, drivers) it was what made Group B so famous and crazy spectacular to watch. Those days.... :D
Sehr schön. Erinnert mich an meinen 200´er Turbo 20v mit 576 PS. Leider war der net so wendig wie der S2. Ich liebe den S2 :))

Also fahre selber einen Audi 100 Quattro .Täglich habe ich 5 Zylinder Sound aber dabei stellen sich alle Haare bei mir einfach nur Hammer geil Super nettes DANKESCHÖN ein absoluter Traum für mich und meine Kinder .

i´m one of those priviledged who drove these cars: our Audi was allthough the long wheel base model, still 20 valve engine... we had 10 valve urquattro too(ex-works both). and one of the sexiest sound machine ever: mg metro 6r4... they were awesome cars, i would give my left arm to drive them again...

Walter Röhrl ist bei uns auf der Ostalbralley in Abtsgmünd vor 5 Jahren noch einen auserhalb der Wertung gefahren. War echt Spitze. Auch wenn er natürlich mehr zurückhaltend gefahren war. Langsam war er absolut nicht.

Don't forget that this is a modern clip of a vintage car. Due to restrictions put down by the FIA back in the 80s group b rally cars are restricted to less than two thirds their original power output. It was either that or the cars got outright banned from any form of racing altogether. It looks slow because unfortunately it is slow. Only running about 300bhp. Modern rally fans have no idea how much of a privilege it is to see one of these cars in action. If you want to see an S1 if full fligh

5 Zylinder, bei einem jedem enthusiasten sollte das herz schon höher schlagen, wenn er dann noch hört audi, turbo, s1, sollte es einem infarkt gleichen, obwohl das auto schon einige jahre am buckel hat ist es dennoch eines von den besten, kurzer radstand viel ps == hammer kombination, derartigen klang hört man heutzutage nicht mehr bei den autos die einem verkauft werden.... einzig bmw hat etwas "ähnlich" klingendes heruasgebracht mit dem e60 m5/6 der V10 sauger hat ist nich ebenbürtig aber fast

8:10 could tell he kept the gas on too much for the downshift and over-revved it. Excellent driving though, some of the best I've seen. Plus, who can beat that rumbly ghostly 5 cylinder sound?

Incontrolable en un momento para los organizadores y equipos. La FISA realmente tomo pocas cartas en el asunto respecto a los fanaticos que ya eran un verdadero perligro en cada evento que pasaba. Algunos momentos el momento de climax de los fanaticos consistia en dejarse pasar los carros lo mas cerca posible y hasta tocarlos. Michel Mouton dijo una vez: ``Pienso en ellos como que son arboles. Tu no quieres darles pero si los ves como humanos no puedes correr. Se esta saliendo de control``

@humanstrain1 Nicely put. As a person old enough to see these at first hand, I can tell you that it is without doubt the best sight I have seen in 25 years of following motorsport, but if I remember correctly, they were rated at around 450 bhp plus in S1 form and in excess of 500 bhp in S1 E2 form. But whatever, they are without doubt the best rally car ever.
Imagine what group B would be with the technology we have now and "no rules"

@Quattroowner dieses Jahr war auf der IAA der originalgetreue Nachbau des 85er Siegerautos zu sehen, das Auto selber ist in Thüringen beim Besitzer eines großen Unfallservices beheimatet, hab das geniale Gerät heute in live betrachten können, ich sag nur HAMMER
