That strategy ONLY works now because the Defense is as great as it is. In the past, its bit us in the ass=) At least run ANYWHERE else except up the middle over and over again. Not a single attempt at rushing around the outside. No jet sweeps, misdirection or anything. Just another draw up the middle into a wall, obvious run up the middle over and over again. Then you watch the complete variety of runs with McCaffery. Don't know where he's going to go. Our run game is just so simplistic, when you have to figure, they can do something else. Anything else? A pitch maybe just to hopefully catch them clogging up the middle? I don't get it.

Your mistake in picking the Ravens over the Chiefs was using regular season stats to calculate playoff scores. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are different beasts in the playoffs.

Old guy here. There was some good defense played in this game by both teams. Difference was that the Ravens played over aggressive with the flagrant fouls, had 3 turnovers, with 2 in the red zone. The Chiefs had no turnovers. I never saw that coming. Lamar is a good talent at running the football, but not as good at throwing it. I really liked what the Chiefs tried to do defensively. Keep Lamar in the pocket, force him to read coverages, and then have him try to beat that defense with his arm, not his legs. Which in this case, he could not do. That INT in the end zone was a weak pass into triple coverage, being picked off by a backup safety. That’s the real difference between Jackson and MaHomes. He is a running QB who can throw. Patrick is a throwing QB who can RUN, when he has to, and he has proven he can make ANY throw. Not true with Jackson. He looked very tentative and unsure of himself against KC defense. It appears to me, unless he learns to read and recognize coverages better, then make the correct throw, he is going to continue to have these tremendous stats and wins in the regular season, but fail in the playoffs when he is confronted with superior defenses. I don’t understand why Baltimore didn’t try to run the ball more with their backs along with Jackson, then use the pass to keep KC off guard. It seems to me they got away from their strength as a running team. That’s the fun part about the playoffs. Everyone is 0-0, and doesn’t matter if your team crushed all others during the season. It’s what yo do in the 2nd season that matters. I felt that Baltimore was the better team on paper, but didn’t play like it. Go Chiefs.

Being too pass happy made the offense too predictable, risked turnovers, and forced the Ravens into long and down situations. Not only that but not calling any short route concepts hurt them as well. It seemed all the plays were designed for 10-15 yards or deep shots.

Yeah. They kept saying 'Hamilton hasn't given up a TD to a tight end all year' but Hamilton didn't face a HoF tight end all year until he faced Kelce. Kittle is great, but he needs another 3-4 seasons at his same level of play to be a HoF. Otherwise you just make tight end too easy to make the HoF. All the other greats played into their mid 30s at a high level Edit: Besides Gronk, but Gronk has too many stats and rings to not get in. Even though it was Brady making Gronk look good. A prime example was the super bowl win over the Falcons. Gronk didn't play that entire postseason. Brady won without him.

In the second play, you show (Mahomes to Kelsey) pay attention to Kansas City's Left and Right Tackles ! Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful throw and catch ! But the Left tackle has his hands in the face of his opponent, and the Right tackle is bear hugging his rusher as soon as the ball is snapped ! If the Refs called either of these penalties, the touchdown is nullified. If this was the Ravens that play definitely gets flagged !
You made the same mistake everyone else keeps making. In the first minute of the video you said we've had issues getting open. We have not had any issues all season at getting open. We've had issues catching passes while open. We've had issues getting penalties on plays that should have been touchdowns. Our entire season was plagued by mistakes. Really, if you remove those dropped passes and penalties that would have converted to touchdowns we probably only would have lost 1-2 games all season. We had a play where a guys foot was offside, because of that our game winning TD didn't count. We had a game where Scantling was wide open, ball hit him in the hands and no one was near him. That would have won us another game. The other thing is, our offense is usually so amazing, that even though people knew our defense was good, they seriously underestimated it.
It's funny how Travis Kelce was in the Baltimore Ravens players face talking all the disrespect and when he pushed Travis away from his helmet the refs threw a flag and then Travis started laughing at the player and didn't get a flag for that. But the Left tackle has his hands in the face of his opponent, and the Right tackle is bear hugging his rusher as soon as the ball is snapped ! If the Refs called either of these penalties, the touchdown is nullified.

You made the same mistake everyone else keeps making. In the first minute of the video you said we've had issues getting open. We have not had any issues all season at getting open. We've had issues catching passes while open. We've had issues getting penalties on plays that should have been touchdowns. Our entire season was plagued by mistakes. Really, if you remove those dropped passes and penalties that would have converted to touchdowns we probably only would have lost 1-2 games all season. We had a play where a guys foot was offside, because of that our game winning TD didn't count. We had a game where Scantling was wide open, ball hit him in the hands and no one was near him. That would have won us another game. The other thing is, our offense is usually so amazing, that even though people knew our defense was good, they seriously underestimated it.
It's funny how Travis Kelce was in the Baltimore Ravens players face talking all the disrespect and when he pushed Travis away from his helmet the refs threw a flag and then Travis started laughing at the player and didn't get a flag for that.
