Actually a tip that works really well for me is to take a comb and put a band on the spot you want your band to stop, so all of them are equals, and it is wayy faster then just guessing 😉 I don’t know if I’m clear, but it makes sens in my head 😅🤷♀️

I personally was taught to take a blue or red mane come thing and only do about 2 points and slice it and band that.
Ike Scepanski I do that sometimes but it takes a lot longer. Depends on how much time I want to devote 😂
