- Adam Gussow was a guest here in Münster, germany. He did a workshop and a concert as a One-Man-Blues-Band. He blows the harmonica, sings like Hell and played the Devil`s drum at the same time.
Thanks goes to all participants of the workshop. Some of you travel from so far away to see Adam Gussow. Without you there would be no workshop.
And many thanks to Frank Dieterichs for this great recording :-)

Dr.Gussow, i got emotional on this one and that's the power of the blues at it's finest.. Powerful performance!!! Thank's Rusty Bergandine
Pretty amazing. I never thought anyone could cover That tune with a harmonica
Wonderful stuff.
BTW: Freebird is another classic I never thought was possible on a harp.
Check out Will Wilde doing the big solo. It's a joy to behold.
Cheers
Excellent! ❤
This is awesome. Best harp player I've heard
Hey Adam this song is great played awesome, love it
Ditto! Just brilliant.
BTW: If you like his harping, check out his book. The audio version is on Audible, and Adam doesn't so much read, as perform it.

he's really a great ragigly soulful harpist!
@hippieninja1 Based on his video lessons, Adam plays this tune in G (cross harp on a C).
Harp in G, first position. He uses the 4 and 6 overblows. Maybe some more but for the main theme that is.
you dont learn to play like this it takes years and years of his soul into his music the way it should be none of this voice and music nhansing shit record lables use these days if ya ask me they need to go back to the old days of making music just like the way this guy dose thumbs up man
Hmmmm...............yea rock it!!
Sick

Question for Mr. Gussow --
I've most often heard this song played in key of D (for guitar), G (for harp). When you play, it sounds like you're in key of G (for guitar), C (for harp).
Any particular reason why? Keep in mind, I'm no harp expert but, why not play on the G harp? Is it too high or limits the usable notes?
THANKS!!
That's because playing in 2nd position in a C harp in key of G gives you a better approach to the blues scale. Also you have 3 more notes you can access in the lower octave.
My bad, you can play it con a C harp in second position xD Still uses overblow on 4 :p
Jawdropping
This from the arbiter of "originality?" A 40-year old Clapton tune?
Listen to the harp and tell me you wouldn't recognise it as Adam Gussow straight away. Originality is doing things your own way, not only doing your own things.
He’s a great player and this is a powerful cover of Cream’s blues -drenched original.
Does anyone know which key it is?
Harp in key of C. Playing in 2nd position so, in G.
lee oscar low rider, bya the time *I gor woodstck
