Just wanted to say thank you for the vast information/knowledge your channel provides about these vehicles while I can still post a comment as many of your comments sections are disabled and I can probably guess why. These videos will eventually become time pieces themselves. Stay blessed.
Great video - I can’t say enough good things about the folks at Klima. I used their parts and know-how to rebuild my old 240D AC system years ago - top notch parts and people, all around.
Going to order the klima mono heater valve replacement today. Tired of no or little heat from my 126 300SD 1983. My most favorite car I have ever owned! Will never sell this diesel antique. I love this old turbo diesel, still get 23 mpg with over 300,000 miles. Had to replace the odometer plastic gears, so no telling actual millage! It's a tank, but rides and handles like new. Of course I have spent a lot of time working on this old beauty!
Hello from Wisconsin Thank you for your new video I will definitely get some parts in the near future. So far my 82 300d with turbo @ 260k is working great thanks in part to all your help
Thanks for walking us thru the climate mono valve, Kent. My r107 heater is currently working great, but I’m going to take a look at the mono valve and I’ll know what to do when/if there’s a problem. As always, your enthusiasm for old Mercedes is contagious!
Thanks for the info. I've had my 88 560SL for just over a month and the heat was great. Today about 15 minutes into my drive it quit. When I stopped, I restarted it for the heck of it and the heat came back. This wouldn't be the valve would it?
So 85 380SL. Heat would be fine at startup but fail after about 8 miles. Did some research and thought it "might" be the monovalve, so I put in a rebuild kit. Now no heat at all. Reads 28 volts at the connector, no matter where the temp dial is. Thoughts?
Hello Kent and thank you for your many videos and advice. I am looking to purchase a true love of mine. A 1983-1985 300D. Do you have anything available?
@@Mercedessource Thanks for the link. Now that I'm getting my '82 300SD ready for daily use, I continue to find needed parts among my spares that I bought from you previously. Some bought over 20 years ago and all still good and top quality (many NLA or very pricey now).
I've purchased Klima's Sanden Aircon kit to replace the terrible factory air conditioner compressor. They have a high quality bar and don't like Chinese parts. I feel confident they will only supply quality parts.

... but what an update versus the Auto Temp II systems from 76-81!
What about an early 1984 wagon, does it use the same Bosh or something else
Yes it does
So 85 380SL.

I wish there was an alternative for my climate control and my ignition for my 98 w210 wagon.
Hello Kent and thank you for your many videos and advice.
I am looking to purchase a true love of mine. A 1983-1985 300D.
Do you have anything available?
Hi James, please email sales@mercedessource.com with specifics of what you are looking for and what you are willing to spend.
Of have a question, are in general, the W123 300 diesel and the W126 diesel the same?
Does this new Klima valve work with the w126 windshield heater? Also how hard is it to install behind the w126 300SD false firewall?
Here is the link to learn more: klimakit.com/product/monovalve-heater-control-valve-for-w126/

Hi Kent my w124 has a delay with the climate control it takes about 30 minutes to switch on have you experienced this problem?
Hey Ken, do you work just on your car or would you be able to work on my 1998 Mercedes S600?
Very sorry but I just don't have time to work on customer cars
Does anybody make a kit to just install a regular 240d style climate control in dash?? Knobs? Something normal? Thanks

I don’t even own a Mercedes
Please consider enhancing your life
