Excellent video! I'll have to remember to bring my bicycle on my next Smokies hiking trip... Looks so much nicer than a tour by car.

Nice video!!! I’m curious as to your camera setup?! I can’t wait to ride the Cove myself! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Outdoor Lady, I was using a GoPro on my helmet. I felt while editing this that I had the camera too high. I may film another round later this fall and place the camera on my chest harness.

Thanks for sharing this ride. Will probably be doing this in July when I visit. Your ride on the parkway looked incredible as well. Any route tips? Hell, wanna go for a ride when I come down? Lol. I love climbs and that descent looked dope.

If your staying on the townsend side there's miles and miles of riding. I rode my Mtb around this loop this past wednesday (it's on Strava). Yes that loop is good but fast on a road bike. Riding the Foothills Parkway is amazing, it's a hell of a climb but worth it. There also riding townsend to Walland and back along Little River. That's a great route as well. If you mountain Bike Vee Hollow just opened a few months ago and they have some great mtb trails. Then in Knoxville there's Bakers Creek which is also amazing this is mainly downhill rides. Then ijams in knoxville has several miles of cross country mtb trails. so there's a lot to offer. Reach out before you head this way if i'm avail i'll join ya. I generally ride this area about twice a week.

Hi Jan, I was on my road bike and I didn't make any stops so I was hustling, it took me about an hour. But, ride it at a comfortable pace and enjoy the scenery and stop at the cabins and walk around. so much to see out there. I rode it a couple week after this video but on my mountain bike and it took me a little longer to get around the loop. Enjoy Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching my video, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for the video!! How much elevation gain is on this loop? Is this a pretty moderate ride? Looks pretty flat on the video but it's hard to truly tell. Never been here. Excited to do it!

according to my Strava it was 806 feet of elevation gain in this close to 11-mile loop.
