Knappertsbusch is undoubtedly one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century. His interpretation of Schubert's Great Symphony is one of many proofs of this. The criticisms of the Knappertsbusch by some envies (such as the infamous Celibidache) are unjustified.
@@remomazzetti8757 You have the right. The eccentric Celibidache had claims even to exceed Furtwangler. But he made only the outward impression. In depth, Celibidache remained at the level of a refined Epicureanism and restrained hedonism.
The incredible, stunning level of the sound of this historic recording evidence and exalt the quality, memorable and extraordinary of this interpretation, for my one the better I can remember. The feeling between a great orchestra and one of the greatest director of ever Is perfect. Knappertsbuch propose a Great 9 Symphony that Is really great,intense, vibrant, energic and full of passion and very emotional. Also your interpretation of 8 Symphony was fantastic but this 9, Oh my God what a masterpiece!
