At first when I tried to solve it on my own, this is how I though it wuld have looked like for a "NET LISTING": * USD 79 900 (net to seller) x 6% = USD 4 794 COMMISSION * USD 79 900 + USD 4 794 (commission on top) = USD 84 694 MARKED-UP SELLING PRICE That's why I thought that your good formula above is categorized under "PERCENTAGE LISTING" sorry for the confusion :D thank you for this handy help

How can I solve a problem where the agent wants a 7% commission and the seller wants to net 45,000$ after paying of a mortgage balance of 68,000$
$45,000 + $68,000 = $113,000 / 93% = $121,505.38
