      But not malicious paranormal or creature stories. I am so tired of those stories. I like stories that could be true with people. People are the most cruel and vicious. I hate the stories with dogs, cats and kids hurt or killed. Kids and domesticated animals are most innocent.
      I also like your Medical stories.

    Story 2 is one of the best I've heard on this channel in a while. The interesting thing is that the narrator still has this subtle tinge of unreliability. He even said himself how being all alone was messing with him psychologically and how he was seeing things out of the corner of his eye. Still, you have to be pretty crazy to intentionally light something on fire and then convince yourself that it wasn't you, it was actually a group of masked men. That's a whole different level of crazy than seeing shadows in your peripheral vision. I believe he's most likely telling the truth though, and the frustrating reaction of the "authorities" once again proves the adage that no good deed goes unpunished. But whether the story is real or fake, that unreliability is a nice touch that really brings it home. What a mystery too. I wonder how many weird cults are out there doing stuff in the woods for real among all the fake stories and horror fiction about it?

    1st girl was not wise. Told a random man in the woods:
    - She was alone
    - Had no weapons
    - Initiated the conversion
    - Told unrealistic lies
    Continued to the same predictable spot to wash in but a towel. Then she didn't even carry the tazer ON her, she leaves it in the tower while she wanders the woods. Man, woman whatever, don't do anything she did. Sounds like she didnt learn much from it all either.

    Third story: OP in the fire tower did nothing to be ashamed of. He was doing a challenging job and stuck to it. At great personal cost, he didn’t give up when it got tough. He was able to connect with a fellow human being and did his best to get assistance to someone else. The fact that ‘Harold’ was a pathetic, cowardly wimp who betrayed his trust only displays the depravity and inferior character of that sick individual, not the OP.
    OP has nothing to be ashamed of; he acted with integrity and duty to a fellow human being. And that is likely something ‘Harold’ will never understand or achieve.

    • @SleepyHollowKnight
      @SleepyHollowKnight 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +22

      And to add to something, that ‘Harold’ did exactly what I would’ve done in my cringiest, worst time in MIDDLE SCHOOL. That kid thinks he’s something. Thinks he’s special. I know the exact feeling. Hell, if I had the resources I probably would’ve done the exact same thing in my youth. He’s just there for control, to spin his own narrative onto is spiraling, boring, pathetic life. The best way to do that is to “become the villain” because it’s the easiest path. He really is the stupid one.

    • @itselvxiia2739
      @itselvxiia2739 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      @@sheyennemerritt3215 I’m actually NOT one of those people who think there’s danger lurking around every corner. The bear vs man comes to mind. I’ll take my chances with the man. But I’m also not stupid. I don’t go into the woods alone when hiking because I think a man is out to get me. My first thought is wildlife. That’s not paranoia, that’s life.
      That being said, I’m also not gonna go out to the middle of the woods, give my entire life story to some random man, tell him how alone I am, where I am and then tell him: oh! And I have no weapons! Then proceed to continue back to the same damn spot almost everyday and CONTINUE to argue with this person I got bad vibes from to begin with and remind them over and over: lol! I have bear spray and a radio! What exactly was she trying to accomplish here? She even stated her FIRST encounter with him was unhinged. She noticed him FIRST as she got to the river, not the other way around! Me? I would’ve turned my ass back around and waited till the person left! No exchange would’ve happened, because it didn’t need to happen! And if her story was she was startled by his presence because he just appeared or didn’t see him, i could understand, but it didn’t. She still went forward. As a woman, that thought wouldn’t have even crossed my mind! I would’ve have quietly backed away, said to myself “I’ll come back later” and be done with it! I was out there to take a bath, not make friends. I’m not about to tempt fate while trying to bathe in the middle of the woods. I also would’ve have phoned the ranger station IMMEDIATELY and told them about the exchange. If the police or rangers downplayed it or ignored it, here’s what my response would’ve been: welp! Then this isn’t gonna work. I’m leaving IMMEDIATELY and you can find someone else. So yeah, that is me “manning up.” Because a man in that situation (at least a smart one) would’ve outweighed the pros and cons, been careful with their words and probably stayed out of sight all together to avoid any confrontation on the slight chance the other person was looking for trouble.
      This wasn’t a populated hiking trail with people coming and going; it was a fire watch tower out in the remote wilderness on thousands of acres. It’s why they plan supply routes and days because it’s remote. That alone should tell you to have weapons! Forget other humans. Bears, moose, elk, cats, wolves, the list goes on depending where she was. You startle one of them, you’re in deep 💩. I startled a white-tailed deer once. I didn’t see or hear her, and she me apparently. She wanted to kick me to death because our encounter was too close, so instead of flight, she chose fight. Rare for a deer, but not unheard of. No, I didn’t notice any fawns. And that was just a female deer. Moose? Oh they’re gonna fight! Black bear? Yeah, they mostly run. But mamas don’t! Grizzly? Brown bear? Nah, you’re the next meal.
      Cats? Hope you like being stalked with nowhere to hide. They climb, crawl and squeeze their way into anything. And mace or other non lethal methods are just fine. I’m all about discouraging before force. But to not have weapons is just plain stupid.
      P. S.- I would’ve done the EXACT same thing if it were a woman there too. I’ve seen women become MAJORLY unhinged as well. Theres no pass because I’m a female and she’s a female.
      Also, this whole story read like male rage bait.
