It's so hard to believe that this is merely a high school production, it's so good
I can well believe it's a high school production. So much overacting, everyone wanting to be the star. Mama Morton is just too much. She could have been so much funnier, but ends up a caricature.

Molly Richter that was amazing acting and singing , you had the charectar down perfectly , it was believable and the overreacting made it better than any other versions of this song.
@@gymbuddy32 Theater has to reach everyone, there's no intimacy like there is on film. Big, Bold, LOUD so the people in the back know what's going on.

My high school is doing Chicago this year and I plan on auditioning for the part of Mama but I’m nervous since I haven’t been in a musical in almost 4 years. I’m hopeful though

Molly Richter does a great job with this song. Her vocal ability, interpretation, and acting are outstanding.
She is awesome; such stage presence and ownership! Love the audience addition!
Chicago is one of many Broadway productions that my little Catholic high school would not have been allowed to do in the early 80’s. I miss those days so much!
I’ll be playing mama matron this year in our production of CHICAGO! So watching this was inspirational (:

Yeah, there's a song missing 'I Know a Girl', after Roxie faints and before Roxie's number - 'Me and My Baby'. Don't know if there any others missing, I never saw the film or play (it will probably seem pretty bad now compared to this performance).

Hummm the whole point of mama is she’s supposed to be black I am slightly offended they should have casted out for a different school
Just for this role she’s like my favorite in the movie. But I got Say this girl nails her role. Black or white she as a high schooler nailed it .
Often with high school versions of musicals they don't specify race in a character, like they would in a Broadway or professional script version

Well never understand how a highschool theatre program had the audacity to even think of doing chicago but to then get the permission to do the show, I cant. But I hope the kids atleast had fun. I wish the girl had gone further with it but being that it's a highschool I'm sure the director had to tone it down. Which again why do a show if you can't do it full out. 😒

Chicago is one of those rare productions where the film did it better 😂 but I’m glad high schools are doing it so well.
