i feel proud to stan a group this talented, they produce, write and compose their own songs and they are sooo good and stable live too, they are the real talent
The rappers has a lot of pressure knowing they have to live up to the expectation since they comes from YG. YG is known for the Best Rappers in Kpop from Teddy to GDTop, Mino&Seunghoon, BI&Bobby. They feel the need to step up their game and I Believe they did Really Well! Bias aside HYUNHAYO for me is one of the Best in their Gen. They don't just rap and blabber things but their rap has a story. They are like telling story through their rap! Treasure in general has very versatile Members/Producers and Lyricist that's why their album don't sound the same. Their songs in one album has different genre and it's really amazing for a New Group. Usually groups when they debut they tend to stick to one genre but Treasure has been exploring different genre since debut! Can't wait for more masterpieces from them.
lyrics-wise, "Thank you" is my favorite in all Treasure's songs. The lyrics was well written. and it shows the different perspective of "Love" and "Break up".(This is case to case basis) Break up is obviously very sad, but all of us are only focusing in the negative part, the pain and the heartache and it is normal. But we forgot all the happy memories, the feelings we had to that person. It is unfortunate but I'm sure that at least one time in our life, "that" person made us experienced that we were the happiest person the world. That's why, "Thank you" is not about thanking that person for hurting us. BUT "Thank you" for all the love, for all the happy memories he/she had given to us.
So this album was... how should I say it, though one? Mashi and Yedam just recently left, so there was a lot of pressure on them, "what will happen to treasure" "will they be able to fill in the two missing members"(and lets not forget that they lost two friends/brothers in the process). They wanted to move on and continue to grow, so they took a leap of faith by putting on the album, songs that were mostly written and composed by them. They worked hard to fill in the gap and at the same time had to climb a huge cliff of emotions. It felt like they were in so much pressure, but at the same time it was like they found a reason to do better. Something under the lines of "I can't let myself crumble under the pressure". So it was quite emotional; the songs seemed to have more meaning, some sounded like they were dedicated to the situations they were going through. So yeah it was intense. But it showed once again the talent these kids have. Makes me feel like a proud mama, seeing how they worked so hard with the "Hello" album and the "Reboot" album. Sorry for the long text, needed to get that out of my system.🌸
The rapper trio felt the pressure of continuing the legacy of all YG legendary rappers but they did SO WELL.

More than being a gifted producer, I think the message and imagery in ASAHI's lyrics are what always pull me in 😢 the man's a freaking poet
this is one of the million reasons why I love Treasure.
