I love weeping willow trees and there is a beautiful one on the venue property. I would love to get a shot in front of that tree if time allows and lighting is appropriate. I plan to mention to the photographer.
I love window shots and stained glass windows - I did ask my photographer if we could get some pictures in front of those since I have a historic venue, but that's it :)
One less thing I have to worry about haha! But really, the main shots I want to make sure I have are family pics and also some with friends. How do you recommend informing your photography that you want some photos with people who aren't in your bridal party or family? Like a group of college friends at the reception?
Hopefully the photographer will send a questionnaire asking about something like this, but if not, just let them know you'd like the photo and then also tell your DJ/band if the group is large enough that a mic announcement would be easier than wrangling them yourself :)
Having attended so many weddings, I can tell from the guest perspective stagged photos like a fake "grand exit running under sparklers" is so annoying. You want me to stop dancing and drinking to stand outside in the cold darkness holding a sparkler for twenty minutes, for a fake exit? 🙄
This was validating, all those recommended lists felt really weird.
They're so contrived; letting the day be organic and natural will always result in more genuine photos!

Sounds beautiful.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who doesnt like obviously staged, not in the moment wedding photos.
They really never come off as natural!
This is really good to know. I must admit that I probably would have created a shot list for my photographers had I not seen this.
Time and stress saved!
@@cavinelizabeth Yes!!
Trusting vendors is so important, I’m glad you always mention this. Let people do their jobs lol
It's truly better for everyone!

I really love your work... Do I have a chance to be given a Preset ?
I don't have any, I shoot mostly film so it comes back from my lab in a pretty good place. My edits are minor.

I wouldn't recommend stopping dancing for it. It would be done right after cake cutting or another event where it would flow nicely.
really good to know!
