Very nice and touching video 😢. When I was a small kid ( primary 5 ), my father bought for me a red bicycle (look like BMX) ; I was so happy, cycled every day after completed my homework. Though it was not a real BMX, but I was filled with joy.
In those early 1980s my parents did not have the money either. Instead I was given the ladies/child version of our Swedish bike manufacturer Crescent. But it was cool too.
Thank you for sharing Sam’s story. I also found this very touching and shed a tear at the end. Like Sam , I fell in love with the Kuwahara ET bike watching the movie. Coming from a single parent home I knew my mum could never afford this so I never asked. I wanted a Kuwahara ET so bad for many years and shed a tear watching this video. Last month an 82 survivor came up on Facebook Marketplace.I’m 53 and I now have my 82 Kuwahara ET. ❤ Never give up on your dreams.
Very touching video and thanks for posting this video as I share your joy and understand how you felt back then. I own a kuwahara laserlite which is a bit of an oval shape frame, I bought the parts bit by bit by working part time in a supermarket own by my teacher who paid me hourly. I manage to save up and the last thing I finally change was the body frame. I felt so happy and did many stunts on that bike and go everywhere with it, it was my main mode of transport. Kept the bike till one of my relative's son ask me to give him, I gave it to him as I stop riding and grew out of it. I regret till this day and should have kept it and display at my home as it was the bike I work and save up for.
Reminds me of my younger days.. bet almost every kids on the block know this bike back in that ET years. I can't afford too. But happy enough to do a lot of stunts with a China bmx bike that my late dad bought for me after passing my exams. 😊
Bro i know how it felt.. it was my dream bike also in the 80s but it was damn expensive.. what i can remembered about $850 back then if i was not mistaken… love that bike..!! Mine was chrome Kuwahara which was less expensive back in those days. Happy for you..
Wow nice kuwahara ET. I too had my childhood started learning to ride bicycle on a bmx taught by my late father when I was around 9 years old. Now at 43 I also just bought back a 20 years old vintage GT bmx just to experience back the nostalgic feeling of riding a bmx like when I was young.
@@GIBSONGASPER123 Yup bmx is small for adults. Saw some guys using layback seatpost and I ordered 1 for my gt now it fits ok. Saw your Monza bmx video very nice, also thinking of getting one 😆. In sg we can only collect bicycles no need coe lol.
@@LT-og4ffI don't own car and public transport fare keep on increasing. That's why i cycle and also force myself to workout a bit 😁. 24inch Monza is very stable, i ran over a monitor lizard that ran towards me (i don't dare to stop) without falling down. Very nice build bike made in taiwan.
This is my dream bike in 1982 too.. I remembered it cost around $350 back at that year, if im not mistaken. I remembered the no. ‘350’ on this ET model price tag.. in a bicycle shop at Holland Road.
Thank you for making this video. Cool guys, cool shop, and cool bikes! Congratulations on finally getting your dream bike! I will get mine this coming week and am looking forward to it. :)
Beautiful video. So happy you finally got your Kuwahara E.T!! I always wanted one too when i was a kid & just ordered a 40th anniversary edition from Japan! Happy riding from Tuscany, Italia
Congratulations on the new Kuwahara Sam!! Yeah dude i had those same tears after my $399 dream bike that my parents bought me as a kid 38 years ago was stolen from me a chrome 84 GT Pro Performer. So this year i found an original chrome 84 GT Pro Performer frame and fork in good condition and plan on building it up a nicer recreation of the same one i had it as a kid in the 80s.
@@silviamanz Your welcome! I see people on eBay selling those new 40th Kuwahara E.T. bikes for $3000 USD your lucky you got one before the Holiday's. Thank you for the reply Sam glad to see you finally got a Kuwahara cheers 🍻

So my first BMX bike is a build up from a Taiwan and its a long story how i get those monies Thanks again for featuring us, Tuah Enterprise.

fast rhythm music in the beginning to show the excitement when collecting the dream bike. Those music are provided by TH-cam music library and no music suit everyone's tastes. Thanks for your input.
It actually could be made a hell of a lot better? the same quality as the originals. Very disappointing I am going to be re-piping a USA made extra terrestrial BMX frame. It will actually be the best.

Glad the video brought up happy childhood memories to many of us, cheers!
I can relate to this. My childhood dream of owning one. Too expensive for us to own one back then.
We could not afford, my friend has one and changed bikes so often. I only had a chopper that was given

Me too😁. I bought a kuwahara stunt bike but found it too small for me as i'm adult now. So i bought another 24inch Monza BMX for daily use.
