- Michael Sperling’s Ouma’s Crunchies
Ingredients:
225g butter (room temperature)
2 cups of Jungle oats
1 cup sugar
1 cup coconut flakes
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp syrup
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180C
2. Combine flour, sugar, coconut, Jungle oats and baking powder, and mix
thoroughly using a mixer
3. Once combined, add butter and syrup, and remix it with your hands or a
mixer
4. Take the crunchie mixture and spread it across the tray evenly
5. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the edge is crispy
6. Take out and cut in squares while still hot
7. Let cool for at least 10 minutes on a cooling rack
8. Enjoy Ouma’s Crunchies!
