In the ps2 version ( og & J Tuning ver ) i nerfed the rubberbanding by uninstalling the nitrous. The ai nitrous is replinished every lap ( in sprint, drag events the nitrous is continuos replinished, like the most wanted nitrous ver ). If you car dont have nitrous, the ai cars will not have nitrous too - just race almost perfectly and the ai will eat dust for nights 👍

Eddie is climbing the rankings more fast than you - and not only he but his crew too. For example, after you reached the 10th spot in circuit, Eddie was 8th.
2:50 bcs in the hard, the traffic is maxed ( the ai can make mistakes). In the easy, the traffic is almost zero ( the ai dont make any mistakes which make the events ultra hard to win ).
Need a way to play this game where if you press L1 it goes to like 0.25x speed so you can Franklin your way around bullshit AI spawns, just to see how much of AI is actually BS
I don't know if you tried this yet but you should do 1 race off camera with the goated rx7 or eclipse (just quit the race so it doesn't count) and come back to the neon. You will then understand you are playing the game on extreme difficulty. Going against rubberbanding Ai, in an unbalanced game, with a bad car reeeeeally helped me understand what I was up against when I played it again 2 years ago in a civic 🤣

Try dodging the crossing cars from behind, the yellow van at the end for exemple, it was going to the left, it would be easier to dodge if you went to the right
So how the rigged ai works I used the arcade version it turns out the game removes the rpm and speed limit on the ai cars seriously I tried a ai car in arcade and got launched to 300mph
To me, this went from enjoyable to miserable within a span of three episodes. Sorry man. You keep making your life harder for yourself by sticking to Neon, and all we can hear now is rage instead of admiration for a game or any other kind of positive / neutral commentary. Kinda sad.
