Marcus Hassan is definately one of the continent's finest drummers. And I know this channel is to celebrate drummers but I was just wondering @Joshua Crawford, if you have ever seen the original song Big God by Uche . It remains one of my favourite live performances and the drummer on it has definately influenced many of us over the years. The title of it if you wanna ceck it out on youtube is 'Joyous Celebration - Big God (Live at Vista Campus - Bloemfontein, 2010)'
Another classic would be 'Joyous Celebration - Give You All the Glory (Live at Vista Campus - Bloemfontein, 2010)'
I guess the drummer you want to check out is Sabu Satsha
Hassan is simply incredible, his polyrhythms are complex, and he hits hard. That Church is a rocking place and the sound is great, even though I'm an atheist I'd still go for the show.
You know I hope one day, you might go with the mind set of only going for a show. Then God supernaturally reveals himself to you in Jesus name!
African music in itself is very polyrhythmic is nature. Combine that with modern contemporary drum techniques and you have 🔥
