Marriage here doesn't assign duties to each partner. If the husband wants to do laundry, he'll do laundry. If the wife wants to cook and do yard work, she'll do it. The driving factors are _solely_ interest: they have interest in doing these things either for themselves, for their partner, both or just for the hell of it. And helps support their moments of independence/freedom.

I think the cooking issue in Africa will surely get better as men travel for studies and become more independent when it comes to food ... because in the abroad if u dnt cook u dnt eat 😂🤣🤣 which student can affort everyday takeout abegg😂😂😂 we will try dnt worry

Quite nice of the parents to offer to cook for you and your friend.
    But then:
    Culture differs!!!
In Nigeria, it's not customary for a husband to cook, except he really wants to give the family a treat.
Which l must say: 'RARELY HAPPENS'!
Just try to enjoy what you have!🤩🤩🤩

I've been subscribed for a while now but this is my first time commenting.
In my country, Italy, women usually keep their own surnames. And about cooking...well I love to cook so in the future doing it also for my husband would be great but I also think that in a marriage where both work can be hard and sharing things to do would be ideal 😊
Also, I'm majoring in Chinese and one of the reasons that led me to that is the welcoming and warm attitude of Chinese people. It never fails to surprise me, I loved this video~ you did an amazing job! Hope to visit China soon

I have been living in China for 9 years. So it's weird for me to read how people love how that little girl is brutally honest. I'm a teacher and I find students like this to be quite rude and ratchet. They only feel like they can say things like this to foreigners not to other Chinese adults. I once had a student tell me that my skin is black and how that wasn't beautiful. She said that in English too. It wasn't cute or funny.

我是个男人,五,六岁的时候有一次大叫一声在父母間煮菜是女人的工作,结果十七岁离开家去大学,从此到今年五十八岁,一直都是自己煮菜。。。I am a guy,...When I was 5 or 6, I once said really loudly, in front of my Mom and Dad, that cooking was a woman's job.
I moved away from home at 17 to go to college, since then until now, (I am 58 this year), I've had to cook for myself much of the time...God sure knew how to teach me!

it's religion that came with that bullsh't. in my village, men and women cook and do many things together. each have his house(next together) or room(in the same house) for personal space that others can't violate except for marrital affairs. the women are richier than men but when you go to those living in town it's different. they put a lot of burden on women and some restrict women movement. Other in town still kept their traditions and that's why their women are more richier than men and access important job. Sad, with social media(and other propaganda taking place) and women wanting to be treat like in tv(some even want to be independent and belittle their men), there's a huge shifting taking place. creating many single mother or divorcee in my generation adding the rise of rape, feminicide and familial incest which was not even existent in my grand parent and parent times.

Little friends😊 Girl, I didn't want this video to end. You're so easygoing and smart. It's always good to get to know another culture aspects in such a fun way. Here in Angola women change add husband name when married, and it's unusual to find couple cooking together, in fact it's cultural that man shouldn't be in the kitchen, it's woman duty... I love your videos. Stay well!

Uche, the woman needs to cook for her kids, man around or not. The West has turned this into a political issue and they wonder why families breakdown.
