I really love the dismantling change! It could make boss rushing as winona, which is a really rare sight nowadays, actually viable without being really annoying.
I feel like the best way to promote teamwork with Winona would be to make it so you can only use the teleporter right after a Winona used it, something like Wanda's rifts. This way everyone can benefit from a her skills but she would still be necessary.
A few things about wurt. You no longer need a king in the caves if you have one on the surface. And some ideas. Being able to craft and remove/relocate ponds Being able to swim across shallow water. (Saw this from the forums) And being able to gain a buff from having high wetness. And let me slap enemies with a fish to send them flying. (This one is a joke)
I hope wurt get's a way to get's an offering chest for the merm king food so the player doesn't have to constantly feed the king itself and allows wurt players to move farther from base without the worry of their king dying also one of the upgrades of this offering chest could be that the chest will have the same effect as an refrigirator so that you don't have to worry about food rotting .
This is a nice idea. But I’m used to the food system. Filling up the king gets you about 7-8 days that you don’t need to worry about him. That’s plenty of time to go do whatever you need. I believe they said you no longer need 2 merm kings either. A king in the surface will give buffs to merms in the caves.
I think it would be nice if merm king would benefit not only Wurt, but other survivors as well in some way. And maybe allow Wurt to build a new kind of merm houses?
The merm king can already benefit other players by making merms neutral, giving them one less thing to worry about as they go through the swamp, and the player can trade fish for things like gold, trinkets, and tentacle spots, if wurt makes them a clever disguise. I suppose the whole trading thing would be more useful if the pig king didn't already let players trade for gold, but considering wurt can set the merm king up anywhere, it does come with the benefit of allowing players to live far away from the pig king and not have to worry about gold, or otherwise taking a long and arduous trek of obtain more of it. I suppose they could stand to add a little more to him, but having him around certainly has its perks
@@JubileeCaptcha Count the days. Thats what i do. I know the King can survive bare minimum 10 days before he dies if on a full stomach. So whenever i leave to go, for example, clear the ruins, i just count 10 days up. For example if i left on day 100 i'd have to return by day 110.
Also don't think the romote would be a dead slot because it is currently only seems to interact with Winona structures and needs to be charged at a generator anyway. Like you don't need to carry your tv remote everywhere. Just leave it by the tv.
It feels like they don’t really know what to do with wurt yet and are still brainstorming. You can tell from the demo that wanona’s changes are a lot more tangible while wurt’s changes are very vague. It feels like the team that’s in charge of wurt is behind given that beta is coming in a few weeks
I was really curious about what your thoughts on the Winona stuff was. perfect time for a video don't worry about that. One thing in the live stream they talked about is they didn't want characters to be swap characters. I feel your heart is in the right place wanting to share certain character crafts with the rest of the team but I feel it would make more characters into a swap. Why play Wanda when she just makes alarming clocks for everyone and switch to Wolfgang. I feel it would also incentivize people to either ask or bully people into picking certain characters or making stuff for everyone. I have heard people say, especially when talking about Winona or Warly, "I want a reason to keep playing as them. not just make their stuff and move switch back" and so exclusive crafts seem to be klei's way of trying to implement that. You (and I) main a character that isn't played by many, yes you want more for them but it seems to me that you think Winona has enough to play as a main and have fun. You found enjoyment out of her kit. I respect your opinion of Winona more then people who don't like her. As a Warly main I don't want everyone using a portable. For the main reason is I need it. Other charecters don't need a crockpot but warly does. I don't need someone using the crockpot I set up to save inventory space when I am starving, especially if its something long like a muffin or turkey dinner. I don't need people dismantling my crock pot and taking it away or logging off with it. I'm not trying to be selfish but I do need a crockpot and if we are in the ruins where there isn't a crockpot for miles I don't want people killing me on accident by taking the crockpot away. In the end I don't think much klei would do with warly's tree would upset me. The main thing that I wouldn't like is taking away the things that make him unique. His pickiness, his food memory. I want those to stay. that's one of the reasons I picked him in the first place.
I kinda want them to give Warly some perks for keeping his stomach filled, so people have more reasons to vary his menu instead of waiting for his hunger to get reaaally low before downing a meatball and a meaty stew

Also the repeat penalty doesn't hurt too bad for about 3 repeats (I often slam a couple stingers, creamy puree, or surf n turf for sanity) wouldn't say no to specific belt of hunger though but I find it manageable.

I did, indeed, mean to give him perks to incentivise variety of dishes, as your edit noted. I even got to brainstorm some skill tree ideas for him, such as give him a sanity boost for every third "non-repeat dish" (playing a bit on his memory perk) or just some speed boost when near full hunger (good for exploring in the early days, for example). Pardon my random ramblings, I just really love the chef 😆
@TeethMeat-jm80u i like that. A alternative to his memory perk could be to open a auto cook menu from his crockpot to auto suggest possible recipes from his inventory. Once he selects a recipe it auto sorts and begins cooking saving prep time and us the player from actually recalling the various recipes. I think he deserves a perk and some other benefits. Hes more than just a support character.
I think that the proposed solution to making the telebrella available to everybody is kind of flawed. Builders would just end up making their telepads completely separated from water, or important hostile farms. It would essentially just mean that you're harming where you would actually want to place a base because of a quality of life option for all of your teammates. I like the novelty of it, but I don't think people are actually going to let that happen. I think a better option would be a teleportation sickness that would strike everybody except Winona. Maybe people would be like "Again? I would vomit." If they tried to do it again in the next few days. It would make stuff like island hopping way more viable with Winona, and give that interactivity that's character specific that you're talking about.
I feel like a good idea for wurt would be giving her more crafts when the king is built like for example giving her a throne that she sits on thats carried by 4 merms that she can speed through the map like a beeflo just for mobility reasons and also like a big merm thats about the size of the king but uses a tentacle spike spear and can slam the ground for a aoe spike attack that has a cannon on its back that shoots fish! Stuff like that is what I want for wurt!!

In regards to Winona's Telebrella/pad and how it could be expanded upon to benefit the team, my opinion would be to tie its usage to the remote and have Winona be able to manually teleport any person they choose before teleporting themselves with each use taking a decent amount of charge from the remote.

@@lorddarius8417 Every character with 300+ days. Currently enjoying a Wes world, rushing moon quay to get a 300+ wonkey world. And I gotta say... Her skills are kinda bad. The lights are unneeded, the normal lights are fine, and thermal is also useless considering you can just... Pop a fireplace that does a better job for basically the same amount of fuel. Catapult fire rate was meh, nothing crazy, kinda boring. Catapult area was kinda useless, now your farms can be 2% more efficient. Gem-eretor was all right. Lunar and shadow alliances were... Honestly, the only good part of her kit, though the telebrella is really overpowered, and having infinite lives with flowers also is. Her glow up was in the alignments and the ability to pack the constructs, making her a viable character for you to play and not change the moment you finish killing that one boss.
I hope wurt is able to ride grass gators around the water, because they don’t do much right now

As a wurt main, i can confirm, everytime i leave base i spend at least 80% of my time worrying about the king and hist hunger points

what about making Winona being able to teleport everyone in a circle around her, that way others can benefit but only when a Winona is around

i wonder what they will do to make Merms better against AOE Attacks from Bosses, and hopefully they will do the same for Abigail and Webber's Spiders
i can't wait for winonas joining my servers, wasting all my rocks on catapults, which i can't even use when they'll disconnect and never join again.
