- This will be part one of a series I plan on starting. Being that SHINee is supposed to have their comeback this coming September, I thought that a lot of fans may want to join the fandom and I'm creating this series so that it'll be easier for them to learn about our precious boys.

I think Shinee is the only group that loves their debut song. They always perform it and reminisce with the fans. I don't recall a Shinee World concert without Replay. They never forget the moves and always sings their hearts out when they sing it. Replay = best debut song ever!!!!!

I was just about to comment about how they had such a lovely debut song! It's sounds so pretty and it shows off their vocals even though it was only their debut. It shows that they were such a strong team in the idol game even right from the start. :)

When Shawols came as a reason to love SHINee, I started crying... these boys saved me years ago... if I didn't know them, I would be so different... They're such a big part of my life, I basically grew up with them and I am so grateful... I turned 18 two days ago and SHINee has been with me since before I was even a teen... thank you, SHINee... I love you, let's all always keep shining :D I'll try to stop crying now hahaha

I became a.shawol 5 months ago and was really unhappy after I found out they had already been together for 8 years but I decided that it didn't matter and man was that the best decision of ma life, these boys and this fandom are so amazing!!

i love every minute of this! thank you tons for doing what i hope will be LOTS of videos! can't get enough of shinee. i am supposed to be hanging up laundry now but i can't tear myself away. they don't have a bad song and the dancing rips my heart out every time-they are so good! i have developed an addiction to them. i got to see them in person of course at SM town but now at a real concert in LA this year!!!!! it is not as good as one in japan or korea but man what a fun night! i will faithfully watch all your videos cause i can't get tired of them~~~

I'm reading a lot of comments and a lot of fans are brand new (weeks/months/year) and that's totally fine! Welcome!!! But I'm a little anxious - am I one of the only shawols here that has been here since replay? Dx I'm not seeing older shawol so I feel lonesome haha
Are you an international fan? That's quite rare, but those fans do exist! I myself joined around the time Boys Meet U was released, but I've seen a lot of fans who were here from the very beginning :) There are other bands I admire, but SHINee and their fandom are just the best and most welcoming imo. In the end it doesn't matter when you joined, because shawols are equal and I've never seen any fanwars inside this fandom.
My friend introduced them to me like 2011, I became a fan lile legit around 2012-2013..

SHINee, kings of live performances, variety gods, the most kind-hearted & humble people, dorks, and they love & trust their group/each member and their fans immensely!!!! A family. They aren't afraid to show their true feelings with anyone. They're not a typical boyband who act cutely/ just sing and dance just to impress other people instead they always act with any circumstances w/o pretensions. They never forgot where they started. They're now 8 years (and still counting) in the music industry yet never heard of them in any bad issues/ scandals. They just don't ride on with their popularity but they always say that they need to work hard more. What a true inspirations, indeed!!! ❤ If you aren't finding this group like-able, then you're missing out a lot in your life. I'm not saying this for exaggeration but it's a fact. Their music, personalities, abilities/talents and their versatility are always on point!!! No wonder most idols look up into them. So much respect for SHINee. :)

For those of you guys who think it's too late to join SHAWOL-- it really isn't! SHINee is the type of group who's gonna be here for certainly long! They're not losing members and they aren't scandalous making it the perfect group and fandom to fan and join anytime! No SHAWOL is gonna force you to know all the tropes and memes and we're very accepting! And besides that the only thing you need to know is SHINee is in a level of legends right now that they literally give no shits anymore xD These boys can be down right crazy but also as loving as family to their fans and towards themselves. These five are genuine, hardworking and loving and are certainly set apart from all other Kpop groups. If you join SHAWOL, you can guarantee you will find family here so welcome!

Shera Wizard I'm new, just become SHINee fan a month ago, because of my curiosity of Minho's group (like him as an actor). Right there and then I fall in love with their music. I'm not into Kpop, I'm more into KDrama. But discovering SHINee, I am considering it a very special moment. They are the first and will be the last favorite Kpop group of mine. Music or songs of other groups does't suit my liking that's why. Thanks for the welcoming. For a month I've been like crazy watching SHINee's videos and listening to their music. And what I love them the most is making their concert hall as if it was a playground. They didn't hesitate to show their childish side even in front of thousand fans.

one of my reasons to love them is the strong group bond and friendship they shares. I really like it how they care about each other, about the group and even about each other's solo activities..
the first time i heard kpop songs (not shinee's songs), i was just like "okay, the song is good" then end.
but when i heard Hello for the first time, i fell in love with the song, and i didnt know why but i instantly love the boys.
i started to listen to their other songs, watch their videos (performances, varshow, etc)
and i decided to become a shawol right then. and i never regret it. the boys never disappoint me.

SHINee are amazing. i know them for 6 years already which is not a lot (why my mom didnt birth me sooner!?) and they are underrated. right now i see many BTS and GOT7 fans (i stan those bands so much too) but the new people who are entering the dark side (kpop) arent really fimiler with "older" groups and i found it pretty sad. SHINee are one of the best and influencing kpop groups in the Industry.

Up until like Feb I had absolutely no interest in k-pop what so ever. Then my 13 yr old daughter was watching knowing brothers/men on a mission and it was one of the episodes with infinite. I about died laughing. Then she showed me ring ding dong lol. I was officially hooked. She was so frustrated with me cause I didn't know key from jonghyun but now it's like I can hear voices and be like yup that's onew or taemin. I regret nothing. And honestly I've never seen any fandom like Shawols.....even in my supernatural fandom its a very scary place. Shawols are just like.....well I love it lol.

Literally the best fandom ever and the best men to stan. My sister had been interested in their music way back in 2010 or so and I was a kid back then but she's shown me lucifer but being the ignorant kid I was, I said they looked like girls!!!! but anyways, i regret that very much. So in 2016 I had properly gotten to know shinee and it was possibly one of the best decisions I made lAst year. I had become a kpop stan around March and a shinee stan probably during June or so. I remember first watching a shinee interview from view era and I was IN LOVE because they were sO funny and it was just a short vid. I had known taemin back in late 2015 but wasn't very interested in kpop so I didn't really care much. But HOLY SHIT shinee have become my everything and I just love them so much. Being a shawol is such a great feeling because we stan such amazing young men with sO much talent and love for their fans. I also remember thinking to myself, it's strange how there are no members that are less loved by fans in shinee bc all groups I'd stanned before shinee (just two) had at least two members that everyone LOVED and like two that everyone simply didn't pay as much attention to. Shinee world fighting!!!!! I love y'all so much
I started becoming a shawol because of shawols. I was so amazed of this fandom so I became more curious Abt the group they supported, and i don't regret it at all. They are do amazing.

I only have 2 groups I support consistently - I've followed SHINee since their debut and I've always had fun talking to other shawols through the years. X) I went to a Tokyo dome concert a few years ago for one of those smtravel package thingies and I met fans of all types and ages!

Tbvh these reasons arent even enough to count how special and amazing shinee is. The reason i stan shinee for 7 years is their friendship, partnership, closeness, love for their fans and never faking anything for the fans. Always so real and so open forward. I love shinee to death. My dream is to go to a shinee concert one day if i can. Shinee made me smile even in the hard days. They made me who i am right now. Im happy i met shinee. Shinee will always be my number one star ♡

Don't think it's too late to join the fandom! SHINee is literally the most stable group I know. There are no scandals (I can literally think of three things in their entire career and they were not a big deal and are long forgotten), they haven't and aren't going to lose any members because they are already there, they are legends and they have a lot of freedom unlike other kpop groups. They can do a lot more than younger groups and they don't have to pretend to be someone they aren't. And they have sooo many songs, some of them are hidden gems, that you're never going to be bored with their music. I can write essays about them, I literally admire them so much that just seeing them makes me smile and my day becomes better. So if you're looking for a reason to live, you've already found SHINee.
Mirae Moon thank you, really. I found out about (and instantly fell in love with) SHINee around 5 months ago. I was a little, sad finding out there where around for such a long time (disbanding after so long wouldnt be surprising, at least for most groups), but now I think the same way as you, about them having freedom (and being legends of course). Im really glad they dont have real scandals (I admit I looked them up and found a compilation of mostly how they hurt themselfes, Jjongs accident, various sprained ankles...) its one reason because I wanted to be a Shawol (despite me hating this kind of fangirl behaviour before). The other reason was, that theyre really radiating, I know SHINee means that they receive light, but I think they give back as much as they receive, if not even more. Im really grateful to have met them. SHINee fighting! SHINee World fighting!

(i know you literally commented this a year ago but whatever) I can't help but feel like I'm too late... since hearing about Jonghyun's passing, I wouldn't allow myself to get into SHINee, because I thought it would be too painful. But... the more I watch their videos and see how happy they were, and the more I fall in love with their music and dancing... I can feel myself becoming a shawol and I feel like I'm too late. I will never experience the group as they were before, I can watch their old stuff, but it wouldn't be the same. So... am I too late?

I got into kpop October 2018 (thanks to BTS) and immediately saw stuff about Jonghyun's passing and even though I had no idea who he was, I cried because I saw how many people were impacted by his death. I am not someone who easily cries and I was full-on sobbing that night while scrolling through Pinterest, seeing so many posts about how wonderful of a person he was and how much he had helped them through tough times. I hadn't watched a single video with him in it but I already could tell how amazing of a person he was just because of the impact he had people throughout his career. Because of this I also wouldn't allow myself to get into SHINee because of the pain that would come along with it. I decided to go against that thought tonight and binge-watch SHINee videos....and my goodness I wish I did it sooner. You're right, we will never be able to experience the group as they were but that doesn't mean we are too late. I wish I could turn back time but I can't but what I can do is support them now and into the future. Also, remember that what makes a fan is not if they had been there since the beginning, but rather if they are willing to stay until the end. (ik your comment is from a year ago but it was to spot on to ignore. Sorry for the long comment I can't help it) I hope your a shawol just like I have become

So i know how you feel. I am really glad that you came across him and his story has helped you in some way. I've ended up being such a shawol, i keep a ring on a necklace engraved with a sound wave of Jonghyun's voice everywhere I go.. Thank you for your comment, it really touched me.

it's not too late. SHINee is one of these groups that keep attracting new fans from all age groups because they are still growing and evolving.
and they cherish their early days, keep coming back to their debut song and have a flawless discography. they will never stop to amaze you and the fandom is friendly, relaxed and welcoming.

I think the reasons why I stan this group is because their relationship seem real. Not only that, they have been together for 9 years now while being in SM Entertainment (the company famous for abuse and members left because of it.) and some of them even friend before they debuted.

Hey! It's been a month since I became a Shawol, and omg I am OBSESSED! I started as a fan of Exo (they are my second favorite KPOP group after SHINee) and I stumbled upon their cover of Why So Serious? and I looked up the original version and was BLOWN AWAY by SHINee!
What shows would you recommend to better understand/get to know their personalities? I get the gist of it, but would like to learn more! Thanks! :)
Alexandra DiBenigno hello Baby, one fine day, Yunhanam, Idol Army, SNL Korea; I'm sure there's others but those are the ones off the top of my head. Welcome to the SHINee world ❤️❤️
I'd recommend more recent ones, the members have changed a lot :) Weekly Idol and Happy Together are the funny ones, there's also Hello Counselor where they had a chance state their opinions and do not only funny things. Key had his own show called "Key's knowhow" where he did some lifestyle vlogs (e.g. cooked, did diy clothes, went waterskiing with Minho). Taemin took part in "We got married" a few years ago, but the show is pretty much staged. What was really about them was "One Fine Day" where they separately went on holiday and did what they wanted. It was in 2013 though. Anyway, hope this helps! :)
Those suggested are good. I suggest you watch SHINee shows from oldest to recent cause the Members have changed and grown a lot.
Change in a positive way, like example before Minho's image supposed to be that silent cool guy.. later he shed that, he's actually a crazy lovely dork.

Recently got hooked on Shinee ...i only knew jongheun and minho and later taemin because i thought he's a solo artist..and now onew and keyl...i love onew's voice . He can do second vocals on all of them amazingly and almost flawlessly! But then again i love all them! Its really true..you can't really have a bias on Shinee..my 9 year old daughter is also hooked and likes key...

I’ve known about them since their debut. I never really joined the fandom. I was more into 2ne1 and later on, bts. A month ago, when the most beautiful soul left our earth, i was heartbroken and still am. For me to join the fandom now feels strange. Okay first off Shinee is one of many groups who I think is kind hearted not just towards Shinee world and others but to themselves as a group you can tell that these guys have a lot of love for each other!
Secondly, Replay is probably the best RnB Debut song I have ever heard in my entire existence and they Shinee think the same cause they are proud to sing it even till this day.
Lastly, Shinee has the best fandom. Shawols do really take care of each other, not being bias to our fandom but I actually believe it. We take after 5 amazing human beings and we love them and they love us.
