A parent yelling at their child, it's beautiful that the Schusters were able to bring the comforts of home with them on the road.
The dad snapping his fingers at his son is how I imagine DJ and Randy keep Neil’s ADD in check while traveling for Strapped.
The 18th tee scene was just brilliant. The editing, the music, the voiceover - just perfect. We all knew where it was building up to, and it didn't disappoint.
The story lines couldn’t have been better. Bro v bro...golfer v athlete...underdog v c-suite...front nine v back nine. Driver v every other club in the bag. Kudos! Tippa the cap...
The Icarito theme music choice @ 20:55 gave me chills. Set the stage for a truly Oscar worthy performance. All respect to the boys backstage: editors, producers and film score composers who made it happen. Looking forward to a successful award szn.

Saddest part of the episode is knowing Peg with a new hip, but a broken heart is watching what I assume to be her favorite son complete his transformation into Icarito just as he drops the club at the top of his backswing... This was my home course as a kid. I've been so fired up for this installment I could drive the 4th green with a 3-iron!
The pre-game chirping for Schuster v. Schuster is so on-brand brothers. “I probably should have been nicer... I’m gonna draw on that experience.” Savage.
Best episode of the season. Can I just say I think Neil has the highest ceiling of the NLU crew. He's a good sports psychology book away from domination. Looking forward to the rest of the season and the Ireland trip.
The Brothers Schuster (Written and Directed by Joel & Ethan Coen)
A juicy comedic adaption of Sam Shepard's sibling rivalry drama, True West. Todd (the older brother) reconnects with his younger brother (Neil) on a road trip up the coast with their zany group of friends in an RV, only to have Neil slip back into old habits and pay the ultimate price. The supporting cast is strong with Chris "Soly" Solomon playing the straight man, DJ Pie as the steady narrator, and the ever-perspicacious Big Randy providing life lessons along the way.
The first 2 acts deliver the perfect blend of action, sex toy jokes, product placement from Callaway Japan, and celebrity cameos from Max Homa and a dad that likely got kicked out of his child's soccer game for fighting with the refs. Unfortunately, the 3rd act falls flat, as Neil predictably relapses by electing driver - only to wrench his ball halfway to the Monterey Aquarium parking lot.
The true to form ending leaves the audience semi-satisfied in the way that you can only feel by watching a tumbling car finally come to a halt in the ditch.

I've played this course many times and its my favourite course. 12th tee is just beautiful.

Nothing says more then this being a 4 vs 5 matchup than "Out of Bounds..... Also Out of Bounds"

In Icarito's defense, it's very rare for a track in the lower 48 to utiliize the metric system.

I live here. We call it the "Poor Man's Pebble." The back nine is very fun, but the front nine can be very tricky with the cypress trees coming into play from many angles in the fairway. I thought that we were seeing the birth of Putterito. The fact that TC had to hit a chip all square on 18 was incredible. Both of them had a real "hero's journey" thing going. Neil just ended up like Rocky in the original instead of the second one.
