Hilariously Crisis suits are why I decided magnetizing wasn't worth it. Needing fifteen weapons per suit made me give up on WYSIWYG. Just make my suits look cool and move on.
I'd argue its still good to be able to swap a crisis suit between forms. Plus, I mean, realistically, it's a good change. It lets you use loadouts that aren't just the objective best one, as the other loadouts dont get punished for its sins. And cyclic ion cannons were always going to vanish anyways, unless crisis suits got a new kit. 10th's philosophy of "Not in the kit, not in the unit" holds true.
Hell yeah, can't wait to see what kind of detachments y'all come up with. It's a lot of fun to theorycraft that kinda stuff even if it ends up being a little insane sometimes lol.
Please read, "Rocks are not free, citizen." Old white dwarf thing, but amazing when talking about kinetic bombardment. I still think about it almost 20 years later.
I think smoking weed with Zandrekh would be the funnest shit. Dude would just start regaling you with all kinds of wacky war stories and moments he's trolled other people with his "madness", before he gets up and starts getting piggyback rides off a stone-cold-sober Obyron, acting like a general on horseback.
"nobody did anything but LotR clones for 50 years" Elric, Dying Earth, Chronicles of Narnia, Once and Future King, Earthsea, The Last Unicorn: "Are we a joke to you?" The idea that fantasy was stagnate for 50 years post Tollkien is insane
Glen Cook was so mad about LotR being popular that he opened the gates for what we now call "grimdark" in the late 70s, and Thieves' World anthologies were doing their own gritty stuff around the same time.
I actually don't blame Tolkien for the fantasy stagnation as much as I blame Dungeons and Dragons (which was pretty much based entirely on Tolkien). I feel like it did way more to cement the various tropes of Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Halflings (Hobbits) etc than anything else.

2:00:00 I'd absolutely be here for a Crossover with Zach Hazard. Bonus points if we get Mike there to join in the "not knowing what you're talking about but talking regardless"
Monkey's paw curls. The floating noise marine stage will happen, but it'll be treated like the CCB and not get the relevant keywords to interact with the noise marine detachment.
1) how dare you make me remember Black Butler. 2) Imperial Hands/Iron Fists would be a hilarious name for your Alpha Legion. 3) The best real life parallel/inspiration is Lion El' Johnson and the Dark Angels being named after Lionel Johnson and his poem "the Dark Angel". It's about his struggles with homosexuality as a Catholic convert and just adds a tonne of bonus flavour to the Legion's lore. It turned Dark Angels from "ok" to my second favourite legion behind Emperor's Children.
01:05:45 in Italian, Strontium is pronounced Stronzio, which is similar to a slang word, "Stronzo", which means "a piece of shit". That funny to me because I'm a fucking baby
Aircraft idea my hamster wheel brain gave me while refusing to let me flippin' sleep (bear in mind I am new to 40k, experienced players can chime in): - Add an anti-aircraft battery to certain objectives on the battlefield - Give one to each home objective with identical fixed profiles, and another on a midfield objective (a kind of buff to going 1st at least against aircraft) - These can be operated once per turn by one of your infantry units by sacrificing their shooting for the phase, provided you have higher OC on the point - New keyword for certain units that provide small bonuses to using said anti-aircraft batteries, with certain armies (looking at you admech) having more access to the keyword - From turn 2, you can choose to activate AA batteries on the remaining objectives you control using a CP/shoooting phase/whatever seems balanced ready to be shot from turn 3. These can be stolen by the opponent. I think having fixed availability of AA on the battlefield (with minimally adjustable profiles) gives everything counterplay to aircraft which you could then balance aircraft around. I'm sure there's issues, I am fairly new, but could be interesting to test/refine?
If you guys really want to collab with Vince V, I would suggest after 4th drops doing a "starting AoS as a 40k player". It would be a great way to bridge both communities.
“He would be quoting ancient poetry at you” Hell yeah: 1)I am a fan of Bile 2)I am a nerd(also I like messed up science/biology shit, I would be really interested in listening to some of his work) 3)I like poetry (not only in a romantic way (but it too)) So it would be as “my jam” as possible

But at the same time it’s quite easy to relate to him(which isn’t the strongest side of most warhammer books), he has a sense of humor and feels passion for his creations and his work. The “Fabius Bile” trilogy by Josh Reanolds are one of , if not the best Warhammer books I ever read
@@thepoorhammerpodcastWhat I find the most common in people who have read the books and don't like them, is that they never really tried to like them. Maybe approached them too cynically, or often skipped past the beautifully written descriptions. No other book immersed me as much as LotR
Watched this while at work, forgot I wanted to comment on it: Brad, It's really comforting to hear someone else talk about ADHD and know that they came to the same conclusion that "Life comes in waves." Seeing how popular Poorhammer and Hoard Mode has gotten gives me renewed hope that my own projects will make it to the public someday instead of just spinning in the cycle forever.
Listening to the part where Berillio waxes poetic about how D&D, the OGL, and the SRD work was kind of heartbreaking given the recent direction of WotC/Hasbro about those elements of the game...
Golden Demon sounds like the Dog Show or what I think Rose growing competitions are (from King of the Hill). It's how well you can adhear to a standard set by the organization, not creativity like in Figure Skating or Dance competitions.
So at the 57ish min, I absolutely love the Trazyn idea! I”m gonna pitch this to our Necron player for a funnies game. While def not perfect, I think if you wanted it to be maybe kinda balanced, anything he brings in the Pokeballs (maybe treat as a “deep strike” but anywhere within 8” of Trazyn, with no distance requirement from enemies, even let him pop them in combat), should have to role each turn to see if they follow orders on a 1-3, suffer from freezer burn and just sit on a 4, or attack Trazyn on a 5-6. I mean, if he’s kept them locked up and in stasis, when they are let out they’re gonna not only be very confused, but prolly groggy and pissed off. Should he also be allowed to “catch” full enemy units as an attack? Just running around taking Knights off the table in a single go? Keep up the great work and Berillio should be featured more frequently. LETS GO IMPERIAL HANDS!

I successfully listened to this while in my office today, i was i formed by my office mate I was being weird and was not hiding my laughter well during the whole time. Thank you guys as always for a great time and congratulations on this huge Milestone
First thing I would do as Grand Dictator of GW: Every Black Library book ever written is now available as Print-On-Demand Paperback.
Gw is broke the next day.
@@ethanklee9041 nah, print on demand means it's paid for before production
@@DnBGolf yeah, but that also means you need to set up a whole machine to print the book for every time someone orders
@@ethanklee9041 I think Amazon has a print on demand service
As a person who have also sunk hundreds of hours into Total War, i would love a TW 40K episode.
Should the map be planetary or like galactic sector? I think it might be a nice extra layer to conquer and manage several planets.
Love the unhingedness of this episode
On the magnets question, they used to be really great on Tau Crisis suits. Key word USED TO BE *stares at new Codex*
Hilariously Crisis suits are why I decided magnetizing wasn't worth it. Needing fifteen weapons per suit made me give up on WYSIWYG. Just make my suits look cool and move on.
It's still nice so you can switch between the types.
Hey, at least magnetised models are ready for this. Think of the poor sods who glued loadouts that are now Legends...
My dream blunt rotation for that question would be the if the emporer had a TTS main cast
Good morning guys, how are we doing today?
Excited by the length of this video. My kitchen is going to be SO clean

"Magic has worst lore"
Mha fandom existing,"are you challenging me"
Please read, "Rocks are not free, citizen." Old white dwarf thing, but amazing when talking about kinetic bombardment.

Lord of the Rings- Published 1954
@@RushGamma true, but the point stands
@@RushGamma The Hobbit - Published 1937
Glen Cook was so mad about LotR being popular that he opened the gates for what we now call "grimdark" in the late 70s, and Thieves' World anthologies were doing their own gritty stuff around the same time.
I actually don't blame Tolkien for the fantasy stagnation as much as I blame Dungeons and Dragons (which was pretty much based entirely on Tolkien). I feel like it did way more to cement the various tropes of Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Halflings (Hobbits) etc than anything else.
59:02 Trazyn pokeballs of bullshit on the table would be an amazing excuse to temporarily eldrazi winter the tabletop for an update.

I'm so happy and mad I got the Name of the Wind joke from Brad xD (I loved the quote Berilio mentioned, though)
I'm Brazilian and I didn't even question that Berílio wasn't his real name all this time. It sounds like a real portuguese name, like Murílio or Benício.
White Scars are Wasabi, Dark Angels should be kimchi, they improve in the dark and stew in their own juices
Baiting engagement with the LotR hot takes lol, thanks for answering mine, gratz on 102k
My question was right at the front. This is probably the second greatest 40k youtuber moment for me. (The greatest being giving useful information to Auspex tactics and having it mentioned in a video.)
Idk if Berilio got a new mic or what, but he sounds really good this time.
He in fact did! I'm happy people noticed that.
I am just like Brad in terms of hobbying and I just started playing rust for the first time ever. Got to say, great hyper addiction. 8/10

Monkey's paw curls. The floating noise marine stage will happen, but it'll be treated like the CCB and not get the relevant keywords to interact with the noise marine detachment.
Always keep the first models you painted. Really helps you see how you have grown.
Strontium is sometimes used in dating minerals, It forms from the decay of Rubidium, so there's at least one use for it
Aircraft idea my hamster wheel brain gave me while refusing to let me flippin' sleep (bear in mind I am new to 40k, experienced players can chime in):
- Add an anti-aircraft battery to certain objectives on the battlefield
- Give one to each home objective with identical fixed profiles, and another on a midfield objective (a kind of buff to going 1st at least against aircraft)
- These can be operated once per turn by one of your infantry units by sacrificing their shooting for the phase, provided you have higher OC on the point
- New keyword for certain units that provide small bonuses to using said anti-aircraft batteries, with certain armies (looking at you admech) having more access to the keyword
- From turn 2, you can choose to activate AA batteries on the remaining objectives you control using a CP/shoooting phase/whatever seems balanced ready to be shot from turn 3. These can be stolen by the opponent.
I think having fixed availability of AA on the battlefield (with minimally adjustable profiles) gives everything counterplay to aircraft which you could then balance aircraft around. I'm sure there's issues, I am fairly new, but could be interesting to test/refine?
Love it when the three of you get together. It's actually so much more comedic 😂😂
Brad would be a ultramarine cus he is a dork and makes shit less fun
If you guys really want to collab with Vince V, I would suggest after 4th drops doing a "starting AoS as a 40k player". It would be a great way to bridge both communities.
“He would be quoting ancient poetry at you”
Hell yeah:
1)I am a fan of Bile
2)I am a nerd(also I like messed up science/biology shit, I would be really interested in listening to some of his work)
3)I like poetry (not only in a romantic way (but it too))

I didn't know too much about bile, but when I saw one of his lines on Twitter and recognized Kipling I got a lot more interested XD

Its insanely good
He also listens to classics, while working, it’s just a really cool detail.
And his character is made from them, like that he answers some questions by just raising an eyebrow.

I remember reading LotR as a 15 year old withoutt the cynical pov and being completely enamored with the world and the writing. I even remember crying near the end. No other book immersed me as much as LotR

Brad, It's really comforting to hear someone else talk about ADHD and know that they came to the same conclusion that "Life comes in waves." Seeing how popular Poorhammer and Hoard Mode has gotten gives me renewed hope that my own projects will make it to the public someday instead of just spinning in the cycle forever.
Listening to the part where Berillio waxes poetic about how D&D, the OGL, and the SRD work was kind of heartbreaking given the recent direction of WotC/Hasbro about those elements of the game...
the fun thing with wounds is, the german localization had it as "Lebenspunkte", literally life points since at least 3rd edition 40k
Golden Demon sounds like the Dog Show or what I think Rose growing competitions are (from King of the Hill). It's how well you can adhear to a standard set by the organization, not creativity like in Figure Skating or Dance competitions.
Also I just want to say I genuinely enjoy your guys insight. It gives me a lot to think about.
2:00:57 hear me out, THE BEST KIND OF STUPID. A super heavy for Grot Rebel armies!? Maybe could be one of Da Red Gobbos creations?
See I would love to go on a museum tour with a stoned Trazyn. Can see him baked and rambling about how he looted shit would be a blast.
Tuesdays I'm at work by myself for the longest, so I always look forward to these ❤️
