The new, larger one should be for commercial flights; Congress and Senators are just going to have to tough it out and go the 25 miles away! Air Force 1 and Marine 1 will use the smaller military airport!

Rebecca Lobach might have been a very nice person. She could have been a lot of great things. The big question to me is whether she was properly qualified for the job. Did she meet a high standard expected of ALL individuals piloting a Blackhawk? Or were standards lowered for her to ensure she could qualify to fulfill a DEI quota? The military has been lowering standards for women in combat and other areas to meet DEI quotas. Instead of keeping America safe, these DEI hires are putting us at greater risk of catastrophic outcome. We can't continue down this path and expect to have a productive country.
To be fair given the size of the vehicles it isn't going to matter. Even if a person reacts in those 5 seconds the vehicles are not going to maneuver well enough. Its meant more for keeping you out of trouble well before it happens and not right before.

Did I miss hear this or something… So the plane was at 325 feet plus or -25 feet, but the helicopter was not above 200 feet, but somehow it magically hit the airplane that was 125 feet higher???? EDIT TO ADD: I did miss hear it, because as explained by one of you made the comment and I can’t remember who right now, the second man said that the helicopter was within the lateral boundaries of the route and that the ceiling for that route was 200 feet. He did not say that the helicopter was flying at 200 feet. Whoever explained that, thank you so much!👏
No, the 2nd man did imply that the flight plan's ceiling for the heli was 200 feet, so it did sound like they broke that ceiling. OTOH, that's very, very low, so I'm skeptical.
When I saw that video that you spoke of, yes, it did appear so....but it could be a flustered pilot being screamed at by the qualifying trainer and accidentally making a wrong turn...who knows for sure....

NTSB: "We don't know A, but we do know B=5, C=7 and A+B+C = 20, so we kinda do know A" Comments: "Word salad! Stop throwing out a word salad! Conspiracy!!"
No. That wasn't his point. He said that they don't have the altitude data from the PAT yet. They have data from the CRJ that it was at about 325. Since a collision is at the same altitude it implies the PAT was at 325.
Not what they said. They said the CRJ was at 325 feet based on the CRJ data. it is probably correct but there are two other sources of data: the ATC radar and the helicopter. It is possible that those two will validate each other with a different altitude as which point it is possible the CRJ's radar had incorrect data. This is the nature of NTSB and being precise. They even prefaced the conversation with that overview.
@James-hb8qu That's precisely what he said. I understand that the CRJ box is only one of three points of critical data. I would speculate that the CRJ data is more accurate than the tower 5-second delay data and will probably match the the PAT data. But we won't know until all the data is recovered and examined. Fine. But the CRJ information alone would indicate that the military aircraft exceeded limits and these guys won't speculate.
@ First, you are one of only a few people that understood what he said. We are in agreement. I guess what caught my eye is you saying they were refusing to say anything about the helicopter altitude when they all but connected the dots to the helicopter being too high. But perhaps you were just being extremely precise in your summary of what they said and i guess "refusing to speculate" is being precise.
Only the government would they think it was a smart idea to have military and civilian aircraft transmitting on two different frequencies which cannot hear one another. 🙄
Yes, if civilian plane pilots need to have higher security clearances to be able to listen to what the military planes are saying, so be it. Most of our airline pilots are former military anyway, I believe.
Ive seen videos of my grandson flying his Apache Helicoptor using night vision. In an area without lights you can see every tree trunk and all clearly Light from the ground distorts vision.
Yes but can you see glaringly bright lights of a commercial aurliner immediately straight ahead of you as you careen towards it for 30 seconds??? (Sarcasm)
Where the stupid is shoveled here in buckets is this: How can a chopper pilot flying at night via VFR match one of many bright lights in the sky to a specific model jet, in this case a Bombardier CRJ-700. In this case obviously, the chopper pilot didn't.
If I understood correctly the FDR shows the CRJ at 325 feet, the ATC shows the CRJ at 200 feet and the helicopter's ceiling was 200 feet. That is a problem. Could the airliner actually have been at 200 feet but the pilots thought they were at 325?
Two planes and one chipper in the vicinity of each other. One plane was far above the chopper and going in the opposite direction. The other plane was preparing to land. WHY WHY WHY did the chopper rise to 125-150 feet ABOVE the maximum and then fly directly into the descending plane?? There was no logistical reason for that chopper to have been flying above the maximum. Surely the altimeter registered their altitude. I've watched the video over and over, and it almost looks intentional. Makes no sense at all.
The ground track plot indicates a turn by the military helicopter directly into the commercial aircraft. That makes it appear to be a deliberate crash event. I'm not saying that is what happened, but the obvious hard turn into the commercial aircraft does seem to be suspicious, especially when observing the track of that helicopter and several other near misses just prior to the collision. Then there is the big question... Why was that training mission set up in such a busy air corridor? AND... Why did the FAA allow that helicopter to fly so close to several other commercial aircraft on a heavily used approach vector? A little too suspicious for my liking.
They already know what happened. It’s only a matter of time before we found out. The same way we were given the run around for the Titan submersible implosion. They knew within hours and we didn’t find out for almost a week.
Really nothing new. Sadly it was a terrible accident !! There should not be military and commercial aircraft crossing each other or flying in the same airspace area period. Sadly, I believe that the helicopter pilot was in the wrong area and didn't see the American Airlines plane 😢😢. So sad that 67 people lost their lives 😢😢😢 !!
Democrats don't want that info to get out because it would make them complicit probably leading all the way back to Obummer's time as pres ..... Democrats think they can get ahead of it by blaming it on Trump.
WHY was the helicopter flying way over 200 ft. ????? The rule is 200 ft. Next question: Is AI controlling the helicopters now??? Next common sense question: Why are practice missions carried out at the busiest time of flights and at this location?
So the BlackHawk was using the ARC 231 multi band radio. This control head allows the pilots to talk on FM, UHF, and VHF along with SATCOM. It is a very good radio and enhances the pilots ability to talk to ATIS, Ground, Clearance Delivery, Tower and other aircraft (Multiship) with preset frequencies so the workload is actually reduced. But it is obviously a issue that although the Approach Control/Tower has the capability to transmit and receive both frequencies simultaneously, rarely do civilian aircraft use UHF in the Airport Traffic Areas. This is more common on Military Airfields and Shipboard Operations. It is odd that this crew was using UHF around a Class B Airport that is so busy, and traffic was announced. Tragedy!
My translation: We here at the NTSB like to have all the data line up before we reach a conclusion. But we want to release what we have found so far. We are going to be open and treat you like adults, but we then are asking, in return, that you recognize that things can change. We also like to have all the data to make sure they agree with other, because sometimes we find the first source of data is flawed. Got it? The CRJ's altitude radar showed it was at 325 +- 25 feet. It probably was. But we want to see if the other data aligns with that. For instance, currently the ATC data shows it around 200 feet. But we are still processing that and even if it disagrees that reading is typically less accurate for many reasons, such as refresh rate. We don't have helicopter altitude data yet. Since it collided with the CRJ it kinda means, duh, that they were at the same altitude. But keep in mind, if the recovered helicopter data is different from the CRJ altitude and our final ATC data confirms the same thing then perhaps the CRJ radar data is wrong. Not likely to happen, but we prefaced this with the fact we don't have all data yet. So right now, maybe, probably, the CRJ and helicopter collided at around 325 feet, unless that other data invalidates this. Helicopter is supposed to stay below 200 feet. The data that is maybe/probably correct seems to indicate that it was above that when it collided with the CRJ. We are being open and treating you like adults. The flip side of the deal is that you understand that this may end up being incorrect as other data is brought online. So don't embed it in your brain as fact.
there should not be any (ANY) training flights near the slip/glissada of all aircraft that use take off/landing lane. The disaster was only matter of time. Military needs another location for training.
@@davids5006 True that. But. This collision trump's (scuse, no pun) all that. All that is not valid at this point. Do we know how many close encounters in the past? Prob. not.
I think going forward making sure that military operations while at a busy airport should be on the same frequency as commercial aircraft. What a sad event, no matter the blame fixing 67 people are dead and it was avoidable.
As a retired Air Traffic Controller and recreational pilot, I submit that pilots are their own worst enemy. A VFR corridor crossing the approach path of a busy commercial airport - errr, really? Pilots wanted that and protected that, and now the world knows about it. And there are many, many other examplus of this kind of madness.

There's only 1 question that needs answering....
WHO WAS THE HELICOPTER PILOT?
I just read on a report: Rebecca Lobach.
DEI hire probably
and who were they transporting from Langly on the goldtop VIP blackhawk?
@@betsybarnicle8016Said a hundred times already…It was a training flight, they happen all the time!
The military shouldn't fly near airports unless there's an emergency. That is common sense
We didn't need this guy to repeat the questions being asked. We are looking for answers
Landing speed 160 Miles per Hour ≈ 234.667 Feet per Second. And the equipment refresh rate is 5 secs. 😱
To be fair given the size of the vehicles it isn't going to matter. Even if a person reacts in those 5 seconds the vehicles are not going to maneuver well enough. Its meant more for keeping you out of trouble well before it happens and not right before.
What is this taking our eyes off of?
The woman. Just a guess. What else?
That's easy. CA "wildfires."
Sounds like a bit of cover up/CYA left as an option.
Why haven't they shown us the Helicopter Pilots photo?????
they have released her name and a photo
If they cant even drive a car why are we pretending they can fly helicopters
Was Danica Patrick flying that chopper?
😂😂
@@jungleno.😂😂😂😂😂
What happened to the missing guy from the helicopter? Did he just float down the river and nobody saw?
"Such an eerie thought! It’s hard to understand how someone could just vanish like that, especially in such a high-profile situation. It makes you wonder if there’s more to the story that hasn’t come to light yet. Hopefully, there’s an investigation that will provide some answers. Do you think we’ll ever get the full picture of what happened?"
If Biden were still president we wouldn’t know a thing for years
Its very obvious the NTSB does not contain our best and brightest. Its sad it takes a series of accidents to expose these unqualified dolts. We should all be angered at what has happened to aviation since Obama.
It seems the black hawk may have been at fault, but regardless, it's an accident that should never have happened
This accident would not have happened if the helicopter pilot followed the 200 feet altitude rule.
Negligence & carelessness! So --all 3 in the helicopter, incl the trainer, didnt think to look around (wo/nite goggles) & know surroundings!
An impact occurred? Understatement!
Whoever explained that, thank you so much!👏
Not mathing is it
No, the 2nd man did imply that the flight plan's ceiling for the heli was 200 feet, so it did sound like they broke that ceiling. OTOH, that's very, very low, so I'm skeptical.
There are three types of people in the world..
Those who are good at math.
And those that aren't.
Makes no sense, with that info they shouldn't have crashed.
At the end of his speech .. he said the heli is increasing the pitch ...
That helicopter was aiming for that plane! All you have to do is look and see.
Combined speeds of 240knots things happen fast. Vision from a Blackhawk isn't the best
When I saw that video that you spoke of, yes, it did appear so....but it could be a flustered pilot being screamed at by the qualifying trainer and accidentally making a wrong turn...who knows for sure....
that is what it looked like to me! Maybe that female pilot of the helicopter was dating someone on that plane
Exactly common sense we saw it
thats what i saw
I think President Trump should be allowed to run for a third term.
It would take a little work to get it done but I think it is quite achievable.
It involves the 22nd Amendment.

The military training helicopter shouldn't be allowed to enter the space of a commercial airport!
It's absolutely asinine to have a commercial airport directly across from an Air Force base.

The CHOPPER WAS AT FAULT. The jet was flying a ils approach, like ALL other aircraft that fly this standard pattern.
A collision tends to happen at the same altitude, how insightful. 🤦
No. That wasn't his point. He said that they don't have the altitude data from the PAT yet. They have data from the CRJ that it was at about 325. Since a collision is at the same altitude it implies the PAT was at 325.
@ lol, how insightful
@@VICIOUSVORTMAX Given he was replying to a stupid question from a reporter...
"The CRJ was at 325' at impact but we aren't sure if the PAT exceeded it's 200' limit and cannot speculate at this time."
Water Intrusion sounds like a prep-excuse just in case they don't wanna admit something. Leaves the door open IOW.
yep
It's probably safe to say their altitudes were pretty much equal at the time of the crash... don't ya think?
Only the government would they think it was a smart idea to have military and civilian aircraft transmitting on two different frequencies which cannot hear one another. 🙄
Yes, if civilian plane pilots need to have higher security clearances to be able to listen to what the military planes are saying, so be it. Most of our airline pilots are former military anyway, I believe.
Bingo!
The ATC created a squeeze when he swung the aircraft from runway 1 to 33
and why did he do that?
Ive seen videos of my grandson flying his Apache Helicoptor using night vision. In an area without lights you can see every tree trunk and all clearly Light from the ground distorts vision.
Yes but can you see glaringly bright lights of a commercial aurliner immediately straight ahead of you as you careen towards it for 30 seconds??? (Sarcasm)
If it distorts vision, why are they wearing them? Since they can't see clearly.
He’s talking like he’s hiding the truth. He’s too nervous. He keeps stumbling.
Or public speaking makes him nervous. He's doing better than I would have. It's one of the top phobias.
i didnt get that at all. to me he seems to be taking his time to make sure he is thorough.
He is one of the people working on what happened and not a professional orator.
Newsmax you spelled "Regan" wrong 🤦♂️
The military's fault and control tower. That crj was in its lane.
The most sophisticated instruments, technology, etc on the planet. Isn't there something called radar on the helicopter.
this guy is full of it
The ground track plot indicates a turn by the military helicopter directly into the commercial aircraft.
A woman pilot 😮😮😮
What does that statement mean? It is nothing to do with DEI, I hope!

@timothylee2772 SO WHAT!! If she is qualified in every sense, then SO WHAT!!
This is all double talk. The Black hawk made a bee-line for the airplane like a missel. I strongly believe this was intentional.
Radar also showed the PAT was over 300 ft. They were not supposed to fly over 200 max.
If they have the elevation of the passenger aircraft upon impact, then you have the elevation of the blackhawk
"Visual Separation" at night sounds wrong especially with night vision goggles.
I agree that plane had hella landing lights blazing. Maybe they had them off or something.
And they know nvg causes distortion but are allowed.

I think it was a remote controlled helicopter, they where testing a few weeks earlier, I doubt if they really tell the truth about it.
But there were three soldiers on board
@@femaleKCRoyalsFan How do you know, you don't, your just going by what they tell you.
They have already perfected that technology. They were openly talking about remotely controlled Blackhawks two or three years ago.
If that was the case, that will be top secret.
Possibly, maybe that's what they're hiding. If not they need to say so. At least release ALL abord the helicopter names.
Slight increase in pitch is normal for commercial aircraft on approach.
That was no accident
The chopper was a mile off course and flying at 400ft when it was supposed to be at 200ft it doesn’t make sense
Tragedy!
Why does it take until Monday to interview the air traffic controller supervisor and the supervisor in training?
My translation:
We here at the NTSB like to have all the data line up before we reach a conclusion.
Thank you for restating exactly what they were saying in that briefing. You just cut right through all the crap.
there should not be any (ANY) training flights near the slip/glissada of all aircraft that use take off/landing lane. The disaster was only matter of time. Military needs another location for training.
They fly helicopters through here daily. Training is always a term used when not at war!
They move people to and from pentagon, Whitehouse constantly
@@davids5006 True that. But. This collision trump's (scuse, no pun) all that. All that is not valid at this point. Do we know how many close encounters in the past? Prob. not.
Whoever came up with the policies that allowed helicopters to violate that airspace should be held accountable.
I think going forward making sure that military operations while at a busy airport should be on the same frequency as commercial aircraft. What a sad event, no matter the blame fixing 67 people are dead and it was avoidable.
It was probably Biden flying the BH
Just asking for the truth people please. The helo was too high at 325 feet of course like you reported
How could they have collided if one was on 200 feet and the other on 400 feet? Nonsense.

So is he saying INCOMPETANCE on the part of the control tower? BUT..... WHY are blackhawks even allowed to fiy in the area esp. at night.
Water intrusion? The black box itself is designed to be water-resistant and can withstand the pressure of deep ocean depths.
"Resistant" is not "proof." It didn't just land in a puddle, it was in a plane that got t-boned by the us military.
