What can say it’s the Nox all the way Except if you’re just Starting out, in the Hobby the Simplex is Good less expensive machine 👍DiG DiG DiG Great Video Guys 🥳❤️
This was a great video! I love both machines. I just got my Nox 800, but I have had the Simplex for almost a year. If there was one thing I learned about the Simplex it that it loves big iron targets. Sometimes you can tell it's iron if it's a small target because the signal will be broken. That's not the case with big iron. With that said, I dug an awful lot of iron with the Nox the last time I took it out. I think a lot of it was because there were high tones mixed in occasionally and I didn't want to miss a good target that was next to a piece of iron, so I dug it. This was the case only once. lol Thanks for sharing this with us, guys!!
If you pump the Simplex over the target ( like when you ground balance) you usually get the number 4 ID which is the ID for iron and there is a mute button to stop the interference from the pin pointer .
Can I suggest a Fiskars plastic trowel? They're great for using with a pinpointer to find items in the plug or hole and won't scratch the target object.
Thanks for the video some interesting sounds there, both found the coins no problems I'm new to the game and watching, listening and learning I think lol 😆 😎🐓🐓🇬🇧
We've just done a video with the Minelab Vanquish 340 and the simplex so that video will be out in a week or so and we're planning on beach testing the simplex too :-)
Great video guys. Now you can add sheep whisperer to your talents 😊 thanks for the advise last weekend. I managed to pick up a Vanquish 540 and I've already dug £3 and a hot wheels! Result! To the next!
For the price difference you could get two Simplex detectors. Simplex did a great job. But from what I’m seeing it takes time getting to know that machine before it becomes a real beast. If money isn’t an issue go with the Nox , it’s a bit lighter and tones sound better. But I did order a simplex because of this video.
Yes to be fair its not really a fair comparison to have a simplex up against a machine a few times it's price, I agre that the simplex is an great built machine and once you get used to the sounds is also a very capable machine. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your comment :-)
Yeah ground balanced, I think it was the frequency settings because 1 setting work ok with the Garrett carrot but would not go anywhere near the minelabs and the other worked with the minelabs but hated the Garrett haha its a great feature that it has that silence button though 😀

Interesting how a $250 machine can get out there bump heads with a Nox. The cross talk between the Simplex and Nox is bad. I have found the interference from the Nox will affect the Simplex even if it's not making it chatter. Got to back it off 25 feet or so. It's not a Nox but for $250 it rocks. I own two of them.

Simplex are very hit n miss IMO. Very chattery and signals were all over the place. Pinpointing way off too. My experience. Maybe I'm just too used to my ml explorer.
I'm not sure I really gave it enough time and should have kept at it, the only problem I had was I found even the vanquish 340 was better so found it frustrating to try and get my head around all the chatters lol plus I don't know of a minelab thats no good on the beach where as the simplex struggled on the wet sand in my opinion 🙃 cheers for watching 👀😀
@@TheMetalDetectingChannel yes, this was exactly my experience too. I see a lot of vids showing good depth on testing etc BUT this is not indicitave of actual real field use IMO. I found it pretty unusable but there again, a complete beginner may find them great. 👍
@@TheMetalDetectingChannel do you think maybe there are good machines and bad ones being put out? Really not a fan of the audio from the simplex, I think it would give me a headache. I find minelabs a bit soft and I have the volume cranked right up on mine so I can hear it properly, my deus is about right for me, but the simplex is far too harsh in my opinion, I’m sure it’s a good machine but I don’t think I could stand the audio, sounds like a stylophone.

I enjoyed watching that guys, I do like the sound of the nox though, it's not screechy like the Simplex... Great video guys..👍😊..🌴😎
Thanks for watching matey, we are doing a giveaway soon with that simplex :-) but you are right, the nox does have a more clear tone to it..
could upgrade to a decent shovel other than the kids version from harbor frieght
We now use Black ada spades and love them :-) 😀 thank you for watching.
Y don’t you put the simplex on mute if ya press the pin-pointer button it mutes y ya doing ya hand held pin pointer
Yeah that pinpointer mute is a great function.
A barely ever dig them ones u did on 16:24 like on simplex most of the time under 20 and over 90 are pap

I agree matey, I see some people get on withe them really well even on wet sands but for me you just can't beat a minelab
@@TheMetalDetectingChannel do you think maybe there are good machines and bad ones being put out? Mine had clearly been opened and used and if I didn't know better would've thought it had been a returned item. Maybe the calibration is out on some of them? Maybe some of the components are sub standard? I don't know BUT they have to cut costs somewhere. Cheers 👍
I agree, the simplex just sounds crazy lol I love the clean tones from the equinox but again your right about how loud it goes, you have to wear your headphones in a windy day or you can't hear anything. Thanks for watchibg
This time I will say that my favorite part was 17:10 🐑🐑🐑
It was friendly hahaha
The tones on that simplex are awful, I know it's had great reviews but that would put me off listening to that all day.
Yeah they are really bad and super chattery
Mine will make that chattering noise as well. It's caused by interference with another device.
👍👍👍🇲🇨
:-)
Like the sheep 🐑 lol 😂
Hahaha this never happens! They normally run away but these sheep were funny as hahaha
Non devi Descriminare se no non può competere equinox
no but they were to popular machines that people always talk about :-=)
The simplex is a cheap terrible sounding machine sounds like Daffy Duck 🦆 I would break it in 2 and throw it into deep water !!
Hahahaha too funny lol 🤣 thank you for watching pal
Great Video lads that simplex sounds like your strangling Orville.
Hahahaha don't it just lol
