- here is another remix! started this one a while back but only just now got around to making all the visuals for it. this one included a lot of modding and tweaking and video shenanigans to pull off, even though it may not look it. I hope you like it!

the music video for the song I used is highly suggestive and based around relationships and I kind of tried to carry that theme over into this, as dumb as that may sound. it's hard to go too crazy with theming but I tried to include lots of minigames with couples and the occasional innuendo... got some primates and basketballs in there too.

The fact that the girl in Double Date is outright missing in the end and the female voice-over for Exhibition Match goes missing immediately after cutting to that game?
The fact that you don't make an input in the end, because... the less we know, the better?
Man's a genius
One thing that absolutely kills me is the ending portion with Double Date.
Everyone points out that the girl is gone and that's valid but *the weasels are gone too.*
He has no reason to keep sitting there and kicking the ball. But he does it anyway.
For the reason I'd like to cite the song itself.
"She said, 'It's not now or never, wait ten years, we'll be together'/I said, 'Better late than never, just don't make me wait forever'"
And later on, "I was doing fine without you/'Til I saw your eyes turn away from mine"
He's doing this because he wants the routine. He wants the love of his partner, sure- but he also wants the things that he did with her, because in the end that's what validated their relationship. He thinks if he keeps doing this, eventually she'll come and sit down with him as he does it.
But she won't. She's watching the baseball game with someone else now.
EDIT: I, in a frankly idiotic display, called the weasels "gophers." Weasels made less sense but this game doesn't make sense anyway, so that's a bit disappointing.

The transitions between 2 games with the same rhythm structure are A+
The fakeouts in this and D.A.N.C.E. are really clever. Funny fruit game man has some serious creativity and talent with these
They did this once or twice in the actual games' remixes and I always loved when they did. No surprise fruit took that concept and ran with it.

Oh my God. The girl being gone from the bench at the end? Incredible. One of my absolute favorite games and a song I've been listening to a lot lately while going through a hard time, this was unexpectedly meaningful for me. Thanks for that.
Have no idea how I missed that the bench girl was taken out for the last one.

I’m not sure if all the theming and references I’m seeing were intended, but I love them all the same. The constant couples at the beginning turning to trios, or one single guy, or far away in the clouds, and the constant anticlimax of hitting the ball, that satisfaction going to someone else’s game. And the hotter wrestler. That one’s important.
I like how at the start he's the fish taking her bait but when the wrestler comes and there's the sex innuendos a new fish is taking her bait

The fake outs into other games are SO GOOD, even matching the right button presses. Loved the implementation of Bossa and Nova as well, didn't expect that to work as well as it did.
3:06 is my favourite part of this whole thing, if this were a real mix in the base game then I bet hitting that samurai slash would be satisfying as HELL. well done mr fruit man :)

@@shanecastleberry4176 not only that, but at least in my head, it cutting when the person hits the ball, and it cutting to a game with a something going away to me implies that the more they person puts into being successful, the more they push away the people around them.

This has legit become my preferred way of listening to this song. The transitions between rhythm structures with those SATISFYING ass Boxing rhythms are beautiful, and the Batter separating the different parts of the song; especially at the end; is just amazing honestly. IMO this is your best Custom Remix (though I do love Buttercup and Tieduprightnow)
