I would recommend workout on absolute strength and acceleration, I run the 100m and I incorporate lots of absolute strength movements while working on explosiveness. Split squats, jump squats, all that stuff

Do dumbbell Bulgarian split squats carry the same benefits as barbell single leg squats?
Similar, but you can't use as much load. Barbell will really test your Dynamic Trunk Control as well.
