I am a 82 year old lady . My husband and i set our new FX2 up . No problems . We have also a foam filter and a round air stone with it in our 75 gallon. So far no problems .thanks for a great product.
The intake does not suction any water into the filter canister. I’ve watched the installation videos and maintenance videos and cannot seem to figure out what the problem is. I’ve cleaned the media, checked the impeller, triple checked the O-rings etc. The filter worked well for about 3 months and stopped working after this last clean. I cannot return it to the pet shop I purchased it and really wish I can receive some support. Important to note, I plug it in and you can hear the motor going for 5-10 seconds then it stops and starts back up after 30+ seconds. I’ve let it run for a few minutes and no water gets suctioned. I’ve tried closing and opening the intake and outtake tubing and nothing works. Please help 🙏
I feel its a great product the first time it started to pull the water and attract debris from the tank and the water spraying out the other side of the hose . My issue is this goes on for few mins and stops completely and no more pulling is happening here even waiting for hours. Just the machine keeps running but dont seem to pull the water and filter out. Why is it so ? - Its not pulling the water !
@@fluval Thanks I will try.I can't imagine taking the box back to the post office for return and exchange ! it's a pain. I still believe its a great product , just got unlucky
We just got the fx2 and cannot adjust the intake nor output valve dials at all. They are stuck in full power mode. I'm worried if I apply more force they could snap and break. Any suggestions?
I just bought an fx 2, set it up and plugged it in. The pump made a terrible noise so I unplugged it, let the air purge out and tried again. It made the same terrible noise then everything stopped. I took it all apart, checked the impeller and there was a couple peices of sand in the impeller ( assumably from my bio media) I cleaned it all out, the impeller then moved like normal, put it all back together, plugged back in and the is a very slight hum but no flow. Any suggestions?

On my installation i cant find out how to deal with a "dropped ledge rim" it says to purchase an extra rim connector. How does this look when its hooked up?
Hi there! There's an example of this shown on page 8 of the user manual. You can download it here: fluvalaquatics.com/us/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/A213_FX2_Manual_5_lang_WEB.pdf
Hi there! That's how the filter is supposed to work - it runs for 1 minute, stops for 2 minutes to evacuate air from the canister, and then starts again. The filter will subsequently shut off for 1 minute every 12 hours to release air that may have become trapped inside the unit.
Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this! Noise originating from the motor suggests that the impeller assembly needs to be cleaned or replaced. As the only moving part in your filter, the impeller does eventually wear and requires periodic (yearly) replacement. Also verify that the filter has been properly primed and no air has remained trapped inside the system.

Could a 407 Intake Strainer be used on the fx filters
Hi there! No, the intake strainer for the 407 is not compatible with FX Series filters.

Hi there! FX Series AquaStop valves are often stiff when first set up. Be sure it's in the right direction, and give them a good twist!

Çok iyi bir filtre tanıtımı olmuş.

I noticed black rubber connectors as opposed to the grey ones in this video, are they now standard or can they be ordered?
I cleaned my propeller and it doesn’t appear damaged at all but my fx2 only works for a minute then the motor quits.
