Cold Steel really need to consider designing and producing a large Black Talon II XL folder in similar size as the Espada XL or Rajah II, in both fully serrated and plain/non-serrated configurations. That would be awesome.

No they should noot. I am a huge xl sized knife Guy. But what would the purpose of the knife be if it was 14 - 17 Cm?. It would not be a defence tool anymore. It would be a huge violent weapon. Not able to pasify your opponent anymore. This is one of the few times i would not advocate for a bigger size of a knife. It would only be good at killing. And whats the point of selfdefense then?
EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE XL ESPADA S35VN i do not think it would be a good idea to release such Knife😀😀
I am from Denmark. Not U.S. but I love big knifes don't get me wrong on that. But if you should encounter someone who wants to take your life, you Should always show the person mercy.

@Cold Steel DUDE777 That's ridiculous. They show you no mercy so why show them any? Maybe focus on keeping immigrants from invading your country instead of worrying about xl folders.

Get back to the old demos with your blades - a little blend of these shorts and you just may have something balanced as a good platform. Not bad!! @CLOUD10 Your collection seems to be missing the C12 Civilian. You may as well complete it by acquiring the Civilian (if the distributors/dealers even have any left).
@CLOUD10 I understand the dilemma. A couple months ago 1 unit of TiCN-coated Emerson-Wave black Matriarch 2 pop up on BladeHQ, but by the time I got off a meeting an hour later, somebody else had ordered it already.

I carry all XL knives now, they're so functional and useful. So I would definitely want this in XL if I were to buy it
I'd buy at least two with 5.5" or 6" blade lengths.

The Black Talon II is legitimately one of the best EDC knives on the market.
The re-curve is especially good for opening boxes, as well as lion bellies.
The angle on that Chisel Grind is around 20 degrees inclusive, I usually have to spent a few hours with a diamond hone to get a factory blade to that specification, here that's just how it comes out of the box.
wait, 20degrees inclusive on a non-serrated factory folding knife? And on a recurve? Def getting one for dat insane edge retention

I bought Spyderco's first "Civilian" knife back in 1994. This knife and the others similar to it from Cold Steel are superior, and cost less - sort of the mantra of Cold Steel IMO. I'll be buying this one next.

I won't lie I'm glad to see your having fun with the brand and bringing fans into it! Please bring back the medium series of knives they would be great for women (my fiancee loves hers. But please also make medium versions of the talwar, and black talon. Just something I'd love to happen.
That is one wicked looking blade, funny that I just got my Rajah II in the mail today.
Rajah II has become increasingly rare especially because of all the panic buying of the old stocks right after the GSM takeover announcement. It's worth every cent though. I think of mine as a non-3V folding Kukri Lite. 🙂

I have the Spyderco matriarch, similar blade shape. Feels powerful in the hand, and this Black talon I imagine even more so.

Seeing Stick Man put JimiSlash on board in this commercial is gold! Mr. Slash is a HUGE Cold Steel fan and advocate. And so am I. Although the American Tanto point is my fave, I respect all knife types. My dad told me about hawksbill knives back in his day. I may buy him a Plain Edge Black Talon 2 for his wedding anniversary one day.

Like all of CS this knife looks Amazing. Question: I wonder if CS would ever make a spring steel full tang katana sword without a guard & with a "softer" polypropylene handle to make it more sleek & cost efficient ? Kinda like The Uesugi Kenshin sword.

I know gsm took over but mabey you should look into the history of the knife design pre coldsteel like the spyderco civilian and the credit Cs used to give on the original design or as said the history of the development of the knife shape and tactical instruction that came along with the design

Just got me a Recon1 in the mail today , GSM Outdoors Cold Steel you guys so far been Keepin it Real.

Clip Point? Spear Point? Plain Tanto? Partially Serrated Tanto? While the blade of the Recon 1 is less thick than the SR1, it's still solid like a tank. Very versatile folder.
GSM, it would be absolutely awesome and highly appreciated if you brought back the first generation of the Cold Steel Voyager. Why, because the first generation Voyager had the absolute best handle and pocket clip!!! Because the handle of the first generation Voyager was smooth and not overly aggressively textured(cheese grader on your pants pocket) like the later generations definitely are!!! But if you bring back the first generation of the Voyager you need to update it with at least CPM S35VN blade steel, keep the exact same plastic pocket clip but make it removable(with Torx screw) and of course, add to it the Tri-Ad lock to make it super strong!!! I guarantee that you did this you would have an absolute grand slam home run of a knife that would sell incredibly well!!! Also really what you need to do GSM is bring back one of my all-time favorite Cold Steel knives which is the giant Cold Steel Voyager X2 with its 6" long clip point blade!!!! The Voyager X2 has long been discontinued, but I still have mine and it's absolutely amazing!!! If you bring back the Voyager X2 of course update it with the Tri-Ad lock and at least CPM S35VN, but I would really love to see it brought back with CTS XHP blade steel!!! The BTII serrated is my EDC since the first XHP versions came out. I never had to use it against s.o. but if I must my opponent will regret attacking me for sure...

I currently carry a Black Talon 2 for EDC. Love the thing!!! One thing I would love to see cold steel do is a 4 inch Hawkbill blade like the Microtech Hawk. With the Triad Lock, and the Wave with a built in cog would be SICK! I know there’s the tiger claw, but I like the 4 inch blades.

I've had an American lawman, and broken skull both in s35vn, this looks like the same kinda build. These coldsteels with the thin g10 handles are probably my favorite knives ever I fuckin love em. Especially that lawman.
