I like crosswords very much, and I love the smaller denomination ones, but I have to say, the Florida $1 crosswords have the worst pay schedule I've seen of all $1 crossword versions out there, past or present. The odds of hitting anything over the break-even $1 prize are just too freaking high (maybe because the next lowest amount is $5?!)! If Florida puts out another $1 crossword in the future, they seriously need to consider revamping the prize structure to make $2 and/or $3 wins a possibility. This could be easily achieved with the current setup by replacing one letter in one word with a doubler (or tripler) symbol that doubles (triples) the prize won if that entire word is revealed. Florida already does that on other crosswords; why not do it on the $1 version as well? Best of luck in the future sessions, Dave and Amanda.
Yes I though it was weird that there wasnt a $2 prize with a double option as well. Thanks for watching, we will play the California $1 crosswords this Wednesday by the way.
