Personally i think not only Jennie and Lisa ate this up, but Rosé and Jisoo and well! Rosé's live vocals are unmatched and not only that, there's something about the way she feels the song and emphasizes some dance parts which makes her parts so much more impactful and satisfying (for example the hair lift at "swerve"). It takes a born performer like Rosé to be able to do that you can tell when she's fully out there when she's whipping the shit out of her hair lmao. Jisoo was also sooo into it from get go, the depth in her voice and her facial expressions matched Shut Down so well, noticed how at any time the camera shows her when it's not her parts, shes EATS UP STILL. There isn't 1 moment in her whole Coachella performance where she slacked and haters are MAD. I think Jisoo is the black in Blackpink when it comes to vocals. Needless to say, Jennie is the best female rapper in kpop at this moment both in terms of delivery and stage presence, she's unmatched and who knows if we'll ever have someone like her. Jennie's rapping skills, vocals and such a stage presence is something other K-pop companies wanted to replicate so bad, but I think you have to be born with it. There's something about Jennie, the way she carries herself on stage, her face, she's magnetic, it's almost as if her natural charisma is hypnotic. Again, something you're born with and can't be replicated. Lisa's stage presence is impeccable and her raps get better and better and in English as well which is not even her 1st language, she's an eye magnet and you can clearly tell from this performance why Lisa is the most popular K-pop idol. Not female K-pop idol, K-pop idol, period. Not only she outdances male idols, but she also outperforms them - rapping, dancing, and stage presence combined. She gets so much hate for her preforming skills because of this reason, she can easily go up against any active K-pop idol and EAT UP.
This performance shows why they've become to be global megastars.

They actually do play a vocal track (although they sing live over it), however it's not the vocal track from the original song, a few weeks before Coachella they recorded a "Coachella" version of all of the songs that they would be performing, as they are singing with their live band (THE BAND SIX, an African-American band that YG Entertainment hired years ago to perform with BIGBANG, another top group. THE BAND SIX is now BLACKPINK's go-to band for live performances and tours. They have their own channel on TH-cam.)

I saw them at Coachella in 2019, didn't know much about Blackpink except hearing them from my younger relatives mentioning their group but after seeing them perform onstage, I came out of Coachella as a Lisa fan. My friends and I came out of there as a Lisa fan. Watching her perform LIVE is 100 times better than watching her on video.
