Delayed two years due to the COVID pandemic, this year's event was a chance for the nation to celebrate.

Glad to see a place that knows how to celebrate our Heroes not like my town of Lowestoft the event they have put on is a disgrace literally nothing to see no proper military band nothing for children too look at or do even the Army Reserves 3rd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment wasn’t either there and they are based in Lowestoft lol 😂 the event here was just full of Cadets which didn’t do any marching about and literally a handful of Regular Soldiers which I think was from Colchester and all they did was just walking around, it was a very very poor event for our heroes. I took my daughter like we go every year and even she was a bit upset on how poor it was there was literally nothing there apart from a few old WWII car vehicles and a Spitfire oh and a Fire Engine and two food stalls a cake stall a ice lolly stall a beer tent rest of the stalls where just Army/Sea/Air cadet stalls, no Help For Hero’s no charities like that there oh and I can’t forget a dog show that dogs doing obstacles. Usually we have loads of stuff bands playing, bounce slides and stuff for children umm lots of soldiers showing all different kinds of weapons they use etc but nope not this year, this years looked like the council literally organised it at the last minute and didn’t care about putting on a good event for our hero’s. I’m pretty angry about it as the best part was I mean no joke the best part was my Cheese Burger lol 😂 my council should be ashamed of themselves on organising and putting on a disappointing Event for our boys & girls serving and who served & our veterans.

@@Jib230181 There must be many people in your town who were unhappy with what was organised in Lowestoft. It has a strong connection with the Royal Marine Commandos. I would write a short letter to your MP about how bad it made you feel. Or just copy what you have put down in your text. Especially on Armed Forces Day. Which is a chance to show your support to the Men and Women that make up the community. Past and present. Hope you are successful and good luck.

Loved every minute of yesterday was amazing
I am a Royal Air Force Veteran, tried to watch this on the day, but there was too much chat and not enough of the parade, and the pictures were terrible.
My thanks to all serving Military Personnel for their service to Queen and Country, to all Veterans for their past service, and to the young Cadets, who were smartly turned out….. Thank you all! Per Ardua Ad Astra!
