    Nice one Point Blank. Looking forward to listening to this. I think it's amazing how it's gone full circle, exciting times I think for house. Wasn't expecting Look Right Through to be this big! Crazy.

    MK didn't even used to like House and now he's a House music genius! Incredible.

      dude he was making house dubs in 93 as your probs aware. you not referring to the years where he went off house and started producing other genres? he did house before that then switched to my knowledge.

      tompwns MK said in an interveiw he didn't even like house when he made burning in 92. If i remember correctly his mate asked him to do a house track for his ep when he was 16 or something and it went from there.

      He was stud in the early 90's. Genius...uhm probably not, but def an creative innovator from that time period. Gotta remember things started looking up a lot in '91. Production techniques improved & more accessible....and most of the shit people were exposed to with House was pretty raw in Detroit & Chicago in the 80's. Personally, I don't think the stuff he's done in the last 20 years has rivaled anything from the early 90's. He's a great producer & a great guy.....but shit has been way too commercial for me. He gets paid though....properly.

      R Phillips producing is a different skill set then djing.. think about it

    • @RiazPhillips
      @RiazPhillips 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Nova777
      ha, I mean I cant believe he only started dj'ing in '09 because he's been known since the 90s. I wouldve though people were calling him for gigs back then

    • @ChrisNova777
      @ChrisNova777 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      R Phillips in the 90s people actually had a clue and booked djs based on how wel their dj skills were... unlike today... where people book producers expecting that they know how to dj even if they havent dj'd in 10 years .. while aspiring djs that would spin 100% better are ignored because they arent famous..

    8:11 I laughed so hard at this point, as it instantly reminded me of a remix Marc did back in 1994 of a song by Elton John & Rupaul.

    Mk is my first favourite singer especially his single "17"

    • @floordoctor
      @floordoctor 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      He's not a singer. He's a producer. The vocals are by Carla Monroe. That stuff is commercial pop house. Time to move on and join the dark side ; )

    Every time I heard 'MK is playing this weekend' I used to think 'Are you kidding me? Mark Knight is playing?!' then I found out it was this guy. I think I prefer Mark Knight personally.

    • @Larrysundeejayyay
      @Larrysundeejayyay 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      u thought people were refering to mark knight as MK? so u obvs never heard of him.. and then u refer to him as "this guy"... c'mon production lounge! that comment just made u look a bit silly really. the guys a pioneer and a legend.

    • @TheProductionLounge
      @TheProductionLounge 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps, but I'm not hugely into this style of music. The only reason I clicked on this video (before people begin saying then why watch this video) is because I was intrigued as to what kind of music he produced

    12:12 1212 When MK IS BLOCKED he make DUBs, DO REMIX FIND KEY OF SONG & FIND CHORDS & TAKE VOCAL CHOP THEM USE, ANY TYPE OF VOCAL THAT INSPIRES HIM TO MAKE A MELODY OUT OF IT & THAN INSPIRED AND START OVER & RESTART FROM SCRATCH AGAIN
