watching this makes me smile... after 35+ cruises on several lines we leave on our third MSC cruise in couple of weeks... all 3 were upgraded from regular balcony to Yacht Club balcony for few hundred... this is the best on the high seas...
One thing I’ve come to enjoy about YC is that butlers who aren’t assigned to your room are always happy to help and YC guest whether it be an escort, drink order or recommendation. It’s like once you put on that YC wrist band anyone and everyone is happy to help.
I think you need to make entertainment a true category to compare. NCL has amazing almost Broadway level shows like Choir of Man. Syd Norman's Pour House venue has such talented bands, the Rumors Fleetwood Mac show is not to be missed. We have been to Syd's on three different ships and the shows are always top notch. Fun fact, if you are in the Haven the concierge will escort you down a crew elevator and you can bypass the line at Syd's and have first pick of seating. MSC entertainment is just strange, trying to be avante garde but just comes across as amateur. Thanks for another fun review!
@@ashleys4652 EXCELLENT NCL tip about Syd’s!!!! Thank you! Big Fleetwood Mac fans, saw Stevie solo and she was AMAZING. And you are absolutely correct - after suffering through three pathetically bad MSC shows and a comedian who incites riots, NCL entertainment deserves a second look. Tough to video due to lighting and copyright but we will catch what we can.
Very helpful. We were wondering which is better. Heard some disturbing things about “gen pop” behavior on MSC lately, but it sounds like Yacht Club is segregated well.
Well done! Nice video guys. Regarding private elevators for Y/C, all elevators on the ship are private for Y/C. Scan your Y/C card (under) the panel, and choose any floor. The number on the elevator is shown on the panel as usual but the light above the elevator does not blink and is reserved for only you. You have a private trip to any floor. From deck 5 to your Y/C deck or simply from deck 5 to 6. Enjoy your next cruise and surprise us with another nice video.

That wasn’t my experience with the Haven. I embarked in NYC, from entering the terminal to being in the Haven lounge was about 15 minutes. Our cabin steward was on point, he asked us when we wanted our room done and had it done at that time, and always very present. As for the thermal spa, I guess it depends on the ship. On the Breakaway the gym was adjacent to the spa and you didn’t hear anything from it. There were always plenty of loungers and it was in front of the ship near the Haven. Looking to try the YC as well.
@@admtim I heard a lot of complaints about the new ship designs. From what I was told by some who sailed on most NCL ships, the Bliss and Encore (Breakaway+ class) are the best.
