But not stupid ones. Do your homework and then act on it without hesitation. Many people will listen to this and will make quick emotional decisions that will waste a lot. He means quick analytical thinking and allowing yourself to take action instead of doubting yourself.

Embracing fear every time! I started my full time songwriting business The Songwriting Company in May 2018 (literally only a few months ago from this post) and walking out of a salary and into the unknown was like embracing the biggest mound of fear since stepping onto the stage and performing solo at a Mike And The Mechanics show. Have a great work ethic. It doesn't give you time for fear.
HUGE shoutout to Grant's mom that raised him and four other children on her own so he could become big and bold! Raising five kids needs a lot of management skills.
His example in No. 1 about his mom is confusing preservation with increasing, two very different things. He says so in No. 7 about the car for which he preserved enough money so it wouldn't matter. Without a preservation system you drain a business in no time.
He is right that preservation doesn't get you growth and she didn't have the income increase skills. As a woman her mindset was intentionally limited by her environment from birth and she didn't question it enough. Women are still brainwashed and shamed into caretaking and caring for other people's emotions more than for themselves.
But he learned some invaluable survival and securement skills from her. Richer guys than him have started at ground zero before. His boldness is great and I wish the best for him, I hope he won't need the survival skills and the creativity and endurance that come with it. But he has them if he needs them.

Insane work ethic for sure. I came from a wrestling background I saw the biggest upsets at every level because of work ethic. It’s who wants it bad enough and who is willing to pay the price. I think business is very much like wrestling. When your down 2 points in the finals in the 3rd period and you are gassing out because you’ve fought hard all match. What are you going to do? You have a deal but the client lacks certainty, what are you going to do?

1- Maximize life.
You can not outsource everything. Do not work part time. You will have full time problems. Dont be selfish. Work full time or more. How are you going to use your sixteen hours of conciousness? How can you build yourself up in life?
2- Invest in yourself.
Save money. Be available. Your friends are not the key to your dreams and success. Go all in. Dont bet. Get a job, find something that pays.
3- Make decisions quickly. Sell quickly. If you decide quick you let others decide quick. Rapid. Stay certain. You can get more money. If you take too long your future will take a long time to do things. You reflect onto other people.
4- Scale.
Talent does not win. Companies do not get big, sitting in a garage. The ideas may be created there, but they did not grow there. Thrive there. Scale well. If you work for yourself, all extra goes to it.
5- Have an insane work ethic.
Work. Work. Work. Do people know you for your work ethic? Do you work hard? Talent wont win the game. Work ethhic wins. Arrive early. Stay late. You cant do anything with a lazy attitude.
6- Be a fighter.
You could have many workers. Be married. Have kids. You have to confront fear, doubt, by yourself. Fight. Fight or flight? Fight. The more you have going on, the more youll like the game.
7- Dont make dumb purchases.
Dont buy pointless luxury items. Wait until you dont have to buy it or it doesnt matter. Unless you can do stupid crap. Blow thousands and it dont matter, go ahead. If you cant. Dont. Even. Waste. On cars and watches and shoes and homes. You need money. Flows. Passive income.
8- Embrace fear.
You will experience fear. If you dont, you arent doing enough. Fear is a sight of moving in the right direction. Most of the time, fear is irrational thinking. Fear tells you what to do and when. The time is now. Take action. Fail doing something, dont fail while preparing.
9- Think big enough.
Plan. Figure out your reasons. Your why. Then think big. Structures fall. Life is short. Hard work doesnt always provide. Go big. Outproduce your problems.
10- Have fun.
Find inner strength. Dont give up. Have a good time. (My words: You wont want to do anything if you are always running low. Do what you love. Have fun.)
Bonus: Push power to power.
Never deny a man in power. Never talk pourly about a person in power. Push power to power. Good people. That do well. Help people that have something and want to make more. Dont help nothing. Not talking about money. Creativity. Guts. Bold. Courage. Dreams. Etc.

But Grant misunderstood the point with Tim Ferriss' 4-Hour Workweek at #10. Doing more with less is the 80/20 Rule, which is the law of uneven distribution, and must be respected in order to maximize one's strengths. And there is more than one way to skin a cat.
