    to sum up:
    Biconditional operator p q
    it's a conjunction between
    p->q & q->p
    the statement is true if and only if both of p and q are equivalent (both are true or false)
    pq means p is necessary and sufficient for q and vice versa..
    necessary ( p=false then q=false for sure)
    sufficient ( p=true then q=true for sure)

    4. For this one, I believe the statement is already written in the form "p if and only if q" since " it is necessary and sufficient " means the same just different working.

      @@jayxcoder the truth table of contrapositive of p->q is equal to truth table of p->q . According to you,you can write there contrapositive of p->q. But it is wrong. You should try to indentify the p and q first .Then you fix the problem.

    we can simply say that it is necessary for both propositions p and q to be same. They're necessary and sufficient for each other, else the compound proposition will be false!

      No it's not. Because it also says conversely ! That means reverse is also true. And if you see the problem is not to find which are bi conditional prepositions but it's to convert them into bi conditional .

      Answer should be "Converse" because P->Q [Implication which is given] then it is said that q is hypothesis and p is conclusion. So, it becomes Q->P. Right ?

      2- It rains iff it is a weekend day. (Using 2nd reference)
      3- yours is right or you can use iff.
      4- learning how to solve discrete mathematics problems is necessary and sufficient for you to get an A in this course and vice verse. (Using 4th reference)
