    New Hampshire man here, seeing all these places in a mainstream video is kind of surreal. Also, the double toboggan at water country right by Ollie the octopus have moved from D tier to a solid A tier after they got new toboggans with handles. The old ones were gross flat mats that most human beings would fall off of and chafe their nips.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I only rode Double Dive Boggan with the new mats and it was solid.

    I have an unreasonable love of Canobie's Untamed and it's my personal favorite ride in the state, but objectively, from a coaster-freak standpoint, it's hard to argue with Roar-O-Saurus ranking high. But if I had to pick a water ride at Story Land it would be Splash Battle: Pharaoh's Reign. And Water Country has a solid lazy river. Did not do Patriot the last time I was there but I did Double Geronimo a billion years ago.
    My major lack when it comes to New Hampshire ride experience is that I haven't done any of the mountain coasters. Or Santa's Village.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Double Geronimo looked a little better than Patriot. Splash Battle is fine, but I prefer Dr. Geyser’s and Bamboo Chutes myself.

      ...also, I'm fond of Canobie's Ice Jet, but that may just be an indication of my lightweight status when it comes to spinny flats--I know some lament that it's not as intense as the thing that was there before.

    New Hampshire is definitely a great state for small but fun places. They have your home park, the park that makes this channel get its name. But you also got probably the best GG Family Coaster out there.

    I’d personally put Cannonball higher. I may be lucky, but my most recent ride this summer was incredible. Track was hot, we got back train, and it was weighted to the max, so my ride might be biased. However, knowing what it is vs say a BoulderDash or El Toro, I was BLOWN AWAY with how well it was running this summer. Might be the extreme heat we’ve been getting, but definitely worth a look for a top 3-5 in my mind

    Great vid because I like how you cover flats as well as ountain coasters and flumes I've always wondered if you could add log flumes and Mountain Coasters to a Coaster credits list? I hope there will be a video of the top 25 or 50 Flume rides, maybe base them on sensations, how wet you get, and theming?

    Canobie Coaster would say:
    Yankee Cannonball at Canobie Lake Park. The state's oldest roller coaster is the signature attraction at Canobie. This Herb Schmeck designed wood coaster runs alongside the parking lot and it has those coveted buzz bar trains, which means you have plenty of room to experience the airtime. A decade ago, this coaster would have placed...
    A) near the bottom of wooden coasters.
    B) in the top wooden coasters.
    C) in the middle of the pack of wooden coasters.

    I am supprised someone put the mine at canobie so high because my first ride on it was a few days ago and it was really good, i didnt think anyone else would agree because as you said it is a bit dated, but for a park like canobie it sticks out in a good way

    • @urbex_coasters
      @urbex_coasters ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CanobieCoaster I found it to have absolutely crazy laterals, which hightens the thrill level when the restraint is only a seatbelt. I basically say "read Cupcakes&Coasters review of the Blackpool wooden wild mouse and you have my review of the Wisp alpine coaster). Also several good airtime moments, I even remember even getting lateral airtime. With a car seatbelt as the restraint. And no speed limit like the ones in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have.

    Yup- Untamed, Corkscrew (I guess they removed it?), and Yankee Cannonball at Canobie are all rough riding from my experiences; the two former I'd ride again if visiting, but I've never had a good time on the YC despite everyone obsessing over it (GhostRider at Knott's is a better wooden coaster in my opinion).
    Other thoughts:
    -YES BAMBOO SHOOTS
    -Sad for no honorable mention of the Storyland Polar Coaster's disgusting ice pole that one (or more) kids would be licking while another kid rubbed their back/hands all over the opposite side
    -I'm honestly shocked that Fun World has survived the pandemic; even as a child I thought that place was gross and unsanitary
    -Excellent video!

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yankee Cannonball has always been smooth for me despite its age. I remember that ice pole as a kid!

    • @MattMcIrvin
      @MattMcIrvin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always enjoyed the Yankee Cannonball--it was the first coaster I rode after a long long hiatus, that got me back into riding coasters--but with one-train operations, the line for it is usually so long that since 2011, when I have my "Dad goes off solo and rides big coasters" time, Untamed draws me away from it. And I actually haven't ridden the YC since the big retrack that CC says made it smoother but tamer, so I can't speak to how it is now.
      The Polar Coaster has special status as the first coaster my child ever marathoned.

    I am always thinking of ways to enhance that fun so the experience becomes physically mentally financially spiritually beneficial and rewarding. Example the roller coasters should include some kind of test to see how well a person may keep their composure under high intensity excitement. Like being able to write your name and address before the ride ends. I think would be a fun way to test one's eye hand coordination similar to astronauts and jet fighters. Equally as true all roller coasters today should automatically have an electronic system that is constantly scanning the track for weakness fractures rust and corrosion. And with today's technologies should be no problem to upgrade any and all other roller coasters which will maximize on safety so people may have extreme fun on every ride

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds like a neat way to add reridability as long as articles are secure.

    • @jamesfiaco4922
      @jamesfiaco4922 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CanobieCoaster It is and I know it will be effective in being able to improve upon one's overall functionality. However the safety precautions I mentioned which would be able to detect any weakness fractures rusting in corrosion within the entire track seem more important. Fortunately they can both be accomplished fast affective cost-efficient.
