I couldn't stand her in this episode.
She's not the first comedian to pretend to be unaware of the news to mine laughs. I found her funny, especially since this is her first time. If you rank first time MTW panelists appearances, she would not be in the bottom half. 😐
Admittedly her confusion echoes how a lot of us Canadians feel to this entire situation with Trump and the milk so it kinda worked for me...

@@Tamashi88 not sure if you're joking or you've had a stroke. In no way is UBI basic, it's literally a brand new concept. He's also not the Minister of Finance, so the specifics of how it is implemented have little to do with him.

In Canada the concept goes back to the 1930s in Alberta (specifically Aberhart who was Premier) in the 1970s the Canadian Department of National Health and Welfare issued a white paper on it, which lead to (though perhaps not directly) to the 1976 effort of the NCW to implement a guaranteed annual income in Canada.
In Winnipeg and Dauphin Manitoba from 1974-1979 there was a "mincome" pilot project. In Dauphin about 10,000 people were eligible. It was scraped when the PCs and the Manitoba Tory gov. didn't want it anymore.
As for Trudeau's role in it: he announced in 2016 that new trials were going to be implemented. What better time than a literal crisis to role it out nation wide? That's what Aberhart wanted to do (provincially at least).
I have not had a stroke, though I do know people with TBI. I do hope you'll think of the language you use next time you get the facts wrong when talking down to strangers on the internet.

For all the complaints I've seen so far they all seem to favor Hugh Dennis, but that man has been recycling jokes for quite some time now.

Alas, it is not only you. Any time a woman or a person of color--but especially a woman of color--appears on a panel show, there are guaranteed to be comments posted on TH-cam that this person is annoying and not funny. Usually the people who post these comments will add that they are not racist or misogynist, but if you look you will find that they bother to make negative comments ONLY about women and people of color. So, congratulations on joining that estimable company.
Trust me, that's not it. Colour didn't even come into it; it's her ignorance I find annoying, as well as her butting in with comments that aren't funny in the slightest. It's the same reason I didn't like Russell Howard when he was a regular. So thanks for that, mate. Thanks for assuming that I just hate black people.

I find Milton profoundly boring. He must sit at home writing out inane wordplay stuff all the time. His delivery and tone are great; the content just doesn't match them.

Two notes:
MtW has always been about low-hanging fruit. So many jokes about Nigela Lawson, replacement bus service, and dogging.
The older seasons' comics played well against each other: sharp suits and shock/black humour from Frankie Boyle, t- shirts and juvenile, occasionally physical comedy from Russell Howard; classy voiceover delivery from Hugh Dennis, Blue-collar English observational humour from Andy Parsons. The other guests played into these dynamics, or didn't, but the roles worked well against each other.
Humour at its best forces us to face up to what makes us uncomfortable, and laugh at ourselves. It is almost useless as a political cudgel wielded by those who take themselves entirely too seriously.
London Hughes is fit.

Prince Philip is often regarded as a racist. Megan Markle has coloured skin. Megan married in to the royal family.
These elements combined with comedy timing and delivery resulted in a joke.
