    For an improper right turn? I know this sounds crazy but I got pulled over once for speeding, I rolled the window down and kept my hands in view, and hung up on the call. I had a butterfly knife and a small bag of weed on me. I threw the blade and bag under my car seat, handed over my license/insur/regi and stepped out of the car when asked. I certainly didn't resist or yell. Cop just looked inside my car from the outside, ran my info, then let me go with a warning.
    These are some dumbass kids.

      @@Suzanimal_316I worked security at a high school. Due to police not being able to arrest or write citations for class c misdemeanors in schools we had to take care of basically everything.
      Teachers and admin don’t want to deal with problematic behavior and police can’t do anything. So there’s this weird vacuum.
      I will say that yes most of the time they outgrow their childish antics. Then you have those wastes of space like those two.
      Kids are getting worse. I can tell you that from experience.

      The parents should receive 5x the punishment of their kids (even if young adults), they didn't become bad exactly at 18, they were before that age as well.

      That's what I thought! When you are old enough to drive (or go out with friends who drive) you need to know how to behave at a traffic stop, that any drugs found in the car can be charge to everyone in the car, and that if a crime is committed while you are in the car that you can be charged for it as well. That takes less than 5 minutes to teach.

      Well, when the police claims that you "resisted" or "resisted arrest" and there's no primary charge then the police is wrong and you are right. Police is not allowed to arrest a person for "resisting" because they cannot dictate the life of a person. There needs to be another charge beforehand. Only then resisting arrest can come into practice.

      Imagine copping 3 felonies like that at *18*. Yea, his life is fucked up and I doubt his attitude will change. He's either A. going to come out of this a completely different person and go in a very different direction (hopefully, but not likely), or B. spend the next 10 years on probation (for sure w. those charges) and likely wind up in and out of the system non stop until he runs out all his chances and a judge throws the book at him. He's about to learn the hard way, being in court/on paper is *no fun*. I only had 18 months of misdemeanor minimal probation, show up once a month, pee every so often and even that shit SUCKED. I couldn't imagine 5/10 years on felony diversion paper.
