Flair aren’t those clay pieces bad for the ecosystem your trying to establish in your ponds??
Flair those sights on the SKS are adjustable for height. You flipped it up while you was in the pawn shop. Usually it has a little slider on the flip up part that will raise and lower the rear sights.
I was yelling at the tv, I could see it was set at like 1000 meters.

They are all. 224 diameter along with 22mag and 224valkyrie. I've killed a bunch of predators with 22mag and 224valk. My 2 favorite

Pawn shop guy was cool as hell. Most places won't even let you behind the counter to handle the guns yourself but that place was set up better for accessibility than most are.

On your sks flair the rear sight leaf is pulled up for long distance, you need to pull it back for the regular zero (point of aim/point of impact) settings
the awkward moment flair doesnt realise a 556 and 22 are the same size bullet

The stripper clip easy loading feature. Put or buy your rounds on stripper clips and you just feed them into the magazine through the open bolt and you load your mag in seconds.

Back in the 50s, going back to the 1800s, the Russians sighted in their rifles to aim at the belt buckle for an upper torso hit, since buckles were made of brass and would shine, making them easy to pick out at distance.

The SKS rear sight is adjustable for distance in hundreds of meters.
For example, 1 = 100m, 2 = 200m and so on. The rearmost setting is the battlesight setting, and it's roughly equal to the 300m setting. All your proper zeroing is done on the front sight; the front sight post is a screw that goes up and down to adjust elevation, and the drum it sits in is windage adjustable left and right. You need a proper AK/SKS front sight tool to adjust the zero.
And when adjusting zero on the front sight, the direction you go is the opposite of what you'd think.
For example, you need to raise the elevation, so you screw the front sight post DOWN, and vice versa if you want to lower the elevation. Same is true for the windage. A good way to zero it is to set the sight to the 200m setting, and shoot point of aim/point of impact at 25 yards/meters. Then change the sight to the 100m setting and fine tune the zero at 100 meters/yards. All of this applies to AK type iron sights as well. Hope this helps!
