Your voice is so crisp and clear, its amazing! I could listen to you all day! And you pick the perfect songs to showcase your great talent. You should be famous :D
Thanks! No one got me into barbershop, I just got into it myself by making TH-cam videos. I live in France, barbershop isn't popular here at all. I had watched "The Music Man" movie and really liked how the Buffalo Bills sang "Lida Rose", so I tried to sing all the parts myself (my first TH-cam video). As a baritone, I was comfortable singing all the parts. It's the good side of being right in the middle. ;)
i love your videos. this one is very simple, and sometimes the dum dums cover the solo voice, but still a great rendition. your voice has something of old in it, that fits those barbershop perfectly. and the hair is pure glam! thanx for sharing you talent.
My Sweet Adelines chorus does this song, so I was scouring TH-cam to find some other versions. It is truly the catchiest song ever, and you do such a wonderful job with it!
Langsam werde ich ein Fan von Dir. Spiele selbst Gitarre (Richtung Country and Western) Aber Deine Musik ist ABSOLUT Spitze. Danke für´s reinstellen. Neben all den Mist den man hier findet ist das eine wahre Wohltat!
@trudbol my friend, you have 1 of the most amazing voices ive ever heard. dont squander this gift. your ear, and voice can take you 2 great heights, i know, im a music Major!
Lass Dich nicht beeirren, Deine Lieder sind großartig, und ich kann mir vorstellen, daß es viel Arbeit ist so ein Video zu machen. Viele grüße aus Wien
@sgtsonny Thanks man, and sorry for replying so late to your kind comment. Glad you like the tune and the render! I'd love to hear you do it an octave above with your freakish voice skills! Cheers
so I was going through my favorites and I found this video again. I haven't heard this in a while and I just loved it all over again! you're voice is absolutely wonderful!!
this is just.brilliant!! i haven't stopped singing it for literally days (which makes pestering my choir almost non stop to let us do this next much more fun). your vocal range just blows my mind (the bass in creole love song... seriously??!! :D) !! i have to just accept that no matter how hard i try, girls are just not intended to sing these bass lines *sad* thank you for sharing and keep up the amazing work!!
@xcatxstarx Thank you! Yes, it's a song I've been planning to do for a while, a catchy classic indeed. I'll probably do it soon. Thanks for the reminder and for commenting! Cheers
Wow mate. I have listend/watched some of your videos. Mostly songs I have done or in the process of doing in the babershop i am in and boody hell mate. i cant get enough. i listen to it multiple times. Each one. You do good in the ones I have seen.
@PecosBillColo Thanks! ;-) In the headphones, I'm listening to the bass track, which I recorded first, completely a cappella. I then sang all the other voices using that track and then re-sang the bass part again, using the 3 other recorded voices. ;-)
This is beautiful to watch and to listen to! My friends used to sing it back in sixth form so it has great memories for me. I swear, watching this could cheer anyone up :D fantastic job! The bass voice is a seriously awesome part. Okay, will stop gushing now.
You are THE MAN!! That would be the only way that I would be able to sing barbershop.! You have a great sound, and I like the hair thing! That vampire dude from Twilights said that his hair does 75% of the acting. More vids, please!
@XxOakDryadxX I used the open-source freeware "Audacity" for the audio recording and a demo version of "Sony Vegas Movie Studio" for the video (I posted more info on my channel description). Thank you for sharing my videos around you, I really appreciate it! Cheers
OMG, so cool! I was googling for this song and it was beyond anything I'd hoped for. You don't even try to modernize it, but make the case of how awesome it was originally.
At first, this wasn't one of my favorites, but I just spent ALL DAY singing this song to myself in a weird combo of this song, Goodnight Sweetheart, with the "horn" part at the end of Come Go With Me. You are now my fave singer on you tube! :D
@octoberboiy Exactly! I started with the bass track for this one, then did the tenor and baritone voices. When I was satisfied with the accompaniment, I eventually sang the lead voice on top. You should give it a shot, it's a lot of fun and you get a surprise when you put it all together! Cheers
@huntingdragon Thanks! I sang the bass line first, since it runs across the entire song. I was listening to a metronome click track, in order to stay in rhythm. I then sang the other two accompaniment voices (tenor and baritone) and eventually the lead melody voice, once the accompaniment was ready. Feel free to share my videos with family and friends (Facebook and such), I'd be grateful! Cheers
Just like most multitrackers, I love their new stuff! You are exceptional Julien! If I didnt go to that damn summer camp I wonder how many views our tag video would have had by now. lol
@Timotehrey Thanks for your support! I don't understand why so many people seem to be blocked by a simple registration form. This is a special occasion: I'm reaching out to my subscribers and fans to help me win $5,000 in order to make better videos for you. Trudbol wins = my music wins = you win.
@octoberboiy I used Sony Vegas Movie Studio. Check out the info in my channel description, you'll also find links to sheet music and details on the hardware and software I use to make these videos. Cheers
@HermanMenderchuk Thank you! Feel free to post it on your Facebook wall and let your friends know about my one man barbershop quartet, I'd appreciate the support! Cheers
@henanimejade Yay! Thanks, I'm flattered. Check out my other videos too! ;-) I also put "In The Good Old Summertime" on iTunes. I'm really curious where this whole TH-cam adventure will take me, so if you like my music, feel free to show me your support! Cheers
@Tyuo2010 Thanks for the nice comment. I too would love for my music to take off and turn this a cappella adventure into something serious. You can show your support by sharing some of your favorite videos with as many friends around you as you can, I'd really appreciate it. Cheers ;-)
@scofield061 Thanks man, much appreciated. Feel free to show my videos to your friends and let them know about my music. I'm trying to see where this can go, so your help is more than welcome! Cheers ;-)
@almighty234 #LOL you're right, it really looks it! No, it's just one of those old screens made for projecting slides. I had tried to use it behind me to make a white background, but there were shadows all over it, so I just dropped it.
Love the (little) differences among your... characters?! It's like watching quadruplets sitting in their identical rooms, eerily singing the time away :P Keep it up! You deserve to Get Known™
@Timotehrey If you have ideas and suggestions on how to incite my subscribers to vote, please share your thoughts. I admit I was expecting more involvement from my fans, given than I'm entering the contest SOLELY to invest in making more and better A Cappella videos. I would appreciate your honest opinions on what I could do. PS: Please tell as many family members and friends as you can to come and vote. This project has to be about networking, there's only so much I can do.
@trudbol No probs. The program's called 'America on a Plate: The Story of the Diner'. It was broadcast on BBC Four on november 29th at 9:00pm GMT and on BBC HD on december 2nd at 10:30pm GMT. I believe a bit of Come Go With Me was in it as well...
@GamekrazzyProduction Thank you! I use a Zoom H4n portable recording device, it's a pretty good microphone. I also sing in a small room with wooden walls, which creates a warm & natural reverb. Thanks also for voting for me ! You can cast a total of 310 votes until August 31st! Follow me on Twitter (@ trudbol) if you feel you may need a friendly reminder, I know a whole month can be long. ;-)
In the tenor section, your hairdo makes you look like that Jim off of the Office. And honestly, this is my second favorite movie, next to Sincere. =) I love it.
My little brother sang this in our school barbershop and I was looking for it and I just love this song, why are such good songs so short :(
Your voice is so crisp and clear, its amazing! I could listen to you all day! And you pick the perfect songs to showcase your great talent. You should be famous :D
