PORK EMBUTIDO | HOW WE MAKE OUR EMBUTIDO | Recipe #: 52

  • We are siblings who want to do versions of the foods we crave. We are not professional cooks but we love food. We check out food choices, cook, and give in to cravings. :) As they say, food is life. :)
    INGREDIENTS:
    1 ½ Kg Ground Pork
    1 cup Garlic
    2 White Onions
    2 Yellow and Red Bell Peppers
    1 cup Raisins
    160 grams Pickled Relish
    1 cup Chopped Carrots
    2 cups processed Cheese (grated cheddar)
    3 Whole Eggs
    1 cup Bread Crumbs
    1/2 tablespoon Salt
    1/2 tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
    1/2 tablespoon Paprika
    2-3 tablespoons Ketchup (optional)
    PROCEDURES:
    1. Using a manual food processor or just manually, finely chop the Garlic, Onions, Carrots, and Bell Peppers
    2. Then mix with ground pork
    3. Add in raisins (optional), pickled relish, bread crumbs, salt (adjust to suit your taste), ground black pepper, and paprika
    4. Then mix thoroughly to make sure ingredients are well distributed.
    5. Using an aluminum foil we will form our embutido
    6. Scoop around 1 cup, then lay it on the foil as shown in the video.
    7. Tighten each side to secure.
    8. Steam for 1 hour to thoroughly cook the meat
    9. Then you can freeze and eat at a later time.
