I just bought this saw. I want to get crafty this winter. I think after watching this I might be able to put the blade on now. I'm fixing to give it a try.
Well, that didn't go well. I just opened my saw and the bar where the blade goes was completely bent. I just requested a replacement and in the mean time I will see if I can figure out how to add the blades to my jigsaw. I guess I should open it first to check it.
I was skepticle of a 20 volt circular saw. But I have several B&D 20 volt batteries and the drill Works great th-cam.com/users/postUgkxjpBI8OOeUXib_iT7UomCrQ-uauwZJ62c . I saw the 4 stars and some glowing reviews so decided to purchase this saw. Well, leave your money in your pocket and run a cord because this little saw won't cut
I just finally fried a previous model of this saw. I bought in 2008 and did a redwood deck , and many many home diy jobs. The day in July 2023 when the blade bolt inside stripped out, i had cut multiple seasoned 2" x 16 boards and several cement siding planks which was a mistake esp using the framing blade. It had a metal bladeguard and laser. This was a workhorse tool and the motor was still good. I m going to purchase the newer model while seeing if a tool repair shop can replace the stripped blade bolt on my original saw, as i love it so! As a female do it yourselfer, this saw was not too heavy and safe enough for the brave enough and not too stupid operator. I wonder why Dewalt doesnt make a comp saw with laser. Cant find one so sticking with B and D model.
Oh yes, and appreciate the informative video! I ve never used a fence do u have a video on this and different situations when used? Just curious. I have a hunch my cuts could be much straighter!
I have this saw, at 0° bevel the blade is not 90°. If I go to minus° it gets closer to 90, but not quite so its needs adjusting. Cannot find any way of doing this. Is it possible with adjustments?
Hi Dave. Same issue here too straight out the box but used a different saw in the end due to time pressure. I do mean to come back and look at the setup again, did you find a solution?
@@craighenson1682 not really, replaced it like for like and was the same. In the end I set it as far would go then put pressure to ease the plate closer too 90. Think just won't use it for cuts that need to be precise.
Lol I am in Pittsburgh redoing my laminate flooring. This is my first house and honestly my real first construction experience for the most part. I am redoing my laminate flooring and picked one of these bad boys up. Should be much easier then my jigsaw that I was using prior. With a finish blade am I good to cut laminate floor?
Safety trigger is a pain in the ass. No electric brake means it`s not fighting the brake at start up and during usage. 13 amp motor. These are all good things for $40.00
I saw this model on display in a store. What really turned me off was the blade guard handle. Not because it's plastic but because it's cheap _transparant_ plastic which is the weakest kind! Other than that everything else it fine. I don't know what they wiere thinking with that one.
I'm experiencing out of alignment shoe which is the reason i cannot make a 90 degree straight cut. There is no adjustment screw for an easy fix :-( Anyone else has this problem? Would be nice if someone knows a fix for this problem. Thanks!
Why need a stupid safety switch? Those safety switches make the machines more unsafe. You can't comfortably hold/use the machine while focusing on pressing two switches simulteanously. They can leave those damn switches away my friend
This tool is worthless. The blade does not have space for heat expansion, as soon as the blade heat up, the cut will be non straight. You need to spend 50 bucks on the tool and another 15 bucks on a new blade. Total of 65 dollars. You are better off buying a makita and those cut flawlessly.
Raised without father, never had a chance to learn how to use these things, thank you for showing me!
It's NEVER too late dude - I promise you.
I too was raised without a father and, y'know what?
Now I can cut metal n shit - YOU CAN ANYTHING!!
Raised without a father and learning to do this today. Imma call a old friend to help me.
*Works great **MyBest.Tools** on small lumber and much lighter than large circular saws.*

Thank you. Much easier than trying to read the tiny print.
Thank you! The manual that came with it was not very clear your video was simple and easy to follow for setting it up.
Such a nice demo...welldone!!
Nice to see some budget reviews! Love it!
Thanks, we’ll have more tools like that down the road
This video literally save me a lot of hassle. Thank you!

Really nicely made video presentation. Thank you
I got one now trying to see how I put the blade on thanks much.
Hope the video helps, good Saw for that price
I cut a bunch of patio stones with mine. didn't appear to be an issue, although not recommended officially.
Thank you for this video. I just bought this circular saw and needed some instructions.

I purchased the same circular saw at Ace hardware on a close out for $13.99. Nice video.
I'm looking for circular saw. Thank you for the video ❤
How do you put the black pin back up
what kind of clamp sawhorse rig ?
Excellent video. Exactly what I wanted to see. Keni, Granada, España
Thank you for the breakdown now I can start trying it out

I know you are probably done but get the highest tooth blade you can, a 40 tooth or higher will be good it won't splinter or chip as bad
Just bought one earlier today. Seems pretty good circular saw except the blade guard which I don't really like but I guess it could do the job
Thanks so much! The hubby just got me and im excited to use it!
How many watts does it use

Does anyone have problems with it kicking back
Thanks bro. You just helped me out big time.
Could anybody please tell me how I turn on the laser?
It should go on automatically when you use it
Thanks for the tips. Just got 1 as a gift, and yup, great instructions.
You can cut through concrete only if you have a blade for concrete
Is the top blade cover plastic?
Yes.
wven of i change the blade can i cut steel and metal
Not with this model
Thanks for the video! It’s a great backup saw imo!
Thanks, it's a good basic saw for DIYers. And no battery to replace.
Thank you!
OK, what is it about this model that you can't cut concrete or metal after you change the blade?
The plastic will melt...
It's a great saw I just never use the standard blades I always use diablo
Thank you, nice video! Daniel
Good job
Great video! Thanks!
Adam 0.58 1.01 de izmir diyor sandım 😀 izmirimi çok sevdiğim için olabilirmi acaba 😁😀

I ignore the markings, square the blade, set the depth, and it cuts accurately....
Ace has these for $10 on clearance!
Yeah these are pretty old by now lol - I literally found one by accident.
grato pelo video.
Is it good for tree wood firewood or its will broke?! And cut my hands
Nice. I like this, but not buy be me yet...
Thanks for easy review! Now I have a better sense of how to change both bevel angles and depth of cut.
My washer won't come off
El disco de esa cierra no sirve para nada. No corta como se ve en el video.

You don't need a safety switch to be stupid! You are already there! 🙄
@@FourDollaRacing thanks stupid
Bells and whistles dont saw wood!
18T is way too rough for a 7 1/4 blade. Even 24T is rough unless you're using it to build pallets or something. You need 40T to make smooth cuts.
No. 18-24 tooth blades are better for freehand cuts. Finish blades work best when the saw and workpiece are both clamped....
@@FourDollaRacing when the saw is clamped? No.
Yes, miter saws, radial arm saws, track saws, and panel saws all clamp the workpiece and blade in some fashion.
@@FourDollaRacing no.
